5 years ago, when driving into Tibet, there was a scenic spot called by netizens "don't go to regret going to the more regretful scenic spot", when I arrived here, I was very entangled in whether to go, and finally in line with the idea of "come here, it's better to go", or spent 330 yuan to visit this scenic spot.
This place is Hailuogou, which is the first well-known attraction before entering Tibet. In the early years, on the Internet, the reputation of Hailuogou was mixed, some people said that it was worth visiting, and some people said that it was not cost-effective. When I drove into Tibet in the winter of 2018, I made a special trip to Hailuogou.
At that time, I stayed in Xingou Town at night, and the next day I drove more than 70 kilometers to reach the Hailuogou scenic area. It is about 50 kilometers from the county seat of Luding to Hailuogou, and the overall road conditions are relatively good.
In 2018, the ticket for Conch Gou was 160 yuan, including the round-trip fare, and today I checked Conch Gou, it seems that it is not yet open to the public. At that time, I also encountered an interesting thing, when buying tickets, if you are paying by mobile phone and need to buy tickets at the vending machine, only cash can buy tickets at the counter, which was the first time I encountered such a thing.
The bus from the scenic ticket office to Hailuogou departs in about half an hour, and if it is full, it will leave early. When I went in the winter of 2018, there were not many tourists, so I had to wait half an hour before I left in the car. On the way, we passed Camp 1, Camp 2, Camp 3 and finally arrived at the ropeway station.
If you want to see the glacier up close, you have to take the cable car up the mountain. In 2018, the cable car cost 150 yuan round-trip. Of course, if you don't take the cable car, you can hike from Camp 3 for about 1 hour to the observation deck to see the glacier. I took the cable car directly to Camp 4, which has attractions such as Wolf Totem, Great Glacier Waterfall, Erawan Buddha, and Red Pebble Beach.
The Great Glacier Waterfall is a huge glacial steep wall that looks like a huge natural iceberg from a distance, but it is actually a waterfall, except that it freezes in winter. The whole waterfall is 1080 meters high and 1100 meters wide, and Huangguoshu Waterfall is really a younger brother compared to the Big Glacier Waterfall. Nearby you may be close to looking at the Great Glacier Falls, but in fact it's just a visual effect. I flew the drone for a long time, and I couldn't see the whole picture.
And there was another place I wanted to go to the most, which was Red Pebble Beach. The place can be said to be very beautiful and good to take pictures. Red stones, white snow, blue sky and white clouds, and snow-capped mountains. If you get the angle right, you can really take great pictures. But when I went, the road deep in the red rocky beach was closed, and I couldn't get in, so I could only take a little picture nearby. It's really a pity. On the way to Red Pebble Beach, there is a four-faced Buddha, supposedly invited back from Thailand.
At that time, the main purpose was to enter Tibet, and there were not many hot springs and other camps in Hailuogou. Is this place worth visiting? At that time, my feeling was that if I went to Hailuogou in winter, it would still be attractive to friends who were entering Tibet for the first time. But there are so many beautiful scenery on the way into Tibet that you may regret it when you see a more beautiful place after you go.
However, when I heard that this year, because of the earthquake, Conch Gully has not yet opened. I still think that even if I regret it once, it will be less than 400 yuan, not to mention the conch ditch in winter. There are some places, if you miss it, you will never see the original one again!
