Yangon's Kyaukdeda, Lada, Papaitan, Botakao, Pak Seng Tong, Aaron, Jiuwentai, Inseon, Rai, Gemmaryut, Mayengon, Inseon, Rabida, Lai Tayya, Dao Ou Grapa and Miao Au Grapa all received unusual rain. It rained at 2 p.m. in some towns and 3 p.m. in others.

A resident of Kyaukdeda Township said, "It's raining a bit heavily on our side.

The National Department of Meteorology and Hydrological Management issued a message warning a few days ago that due to the influence of clouds moving from the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, cyclones moving from the east, and due to the influence of tropical cloud enhancement and cyclones moving from the west, there will be abnormal rainfall across Myanmar from the 20th to the 24th.

At 2 p.m. on March 21, the National Department of Meteorology and Hydrological Management released information that in the Andaman Sea, the southeastern and central western parts of the Bay of Bengal are forming a small to medium cloud layer, and the remaining Bay of Bengal area is forming heavy clouds from the medium cloud layer. As a result, there will be showers in and around Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyidaw and around Yangon on March 22.

In addition, showers will occur over a wide area in the upper Sagaing Division, northern Shan State and Chin State, Naypyidaw, Lower Sagaing Division, Mandalay Division, Magway Division, Bago Division, Tanintharyi Division, Kachin State, Southern and Eastern Shan State, Kayah State, Kayin State and Mon State, and a small part of the remaining provincial states.

Showers will continue to fall in the upper part of Sagaing Province, Tanintharyi Province and Kachin State in the next 2 days.

Myanmar media reported that due to unusual rainfall and hail, some strawberry planting plots in southern Shan State and Bang town were damaged.

At around 2 p.m. on March 21, some strawberry plantations were damaged due to unusual rainfall and hail with betel nuts in southern Shan State and Pong Town.

One farmer said that the hail was so large that the strawberries in the field were either destroyed or lost, and the losses were serious.

At present, it is the strawberry picking season, and although the strawberries were first launched at excellent prices, the maximum price of strawberries is only about 6,000 kyats at the moment.
