To sketch, to photograph, it must be a beautiful place, or a strange environment, or a strange landscape. During the weekend break, I came with friends and went to a big ice gully.
Dabinggou is located in Sishan Ridge, Nanfen District, 35 kilometers southeast of Benxi City, 27 kilometers away from the exit of Shendan Expressway Bridgehead. Turn on the navigation, move forward with confidence, plan your future travel plans as you go, talk and talk to the exit of the bridge, and when you understand the navigation instructions, the car has passed the lower crossing. I didn't have time to turn, so I had to run to the next exit and walked dozens of kilometers more on the wrong road.
With the lesson, I honestly followed the instructions of the navigation, and it is estimated that I am almost at the scenic spot, and I followed the order. "Go 30 meters and turn left". When you hear the command, slow down immediately. After 30 meters, a path appears on the left. The path is quite flat, but not wide, like a road into the village, not at all like a road to the scenic area. Although there were doubts, because of the lessons of the past, it was still followed.
Sure enough, it was a road into the village, and the village was so quiet that no one saw it. The small village is also very beautiful, outside the wall, the side of the road is full of strings of small mountain flowers, red, yellow, pink, occasionally encountered artificial piles of mountain stones. While we were walking slowly to watch, the navigation issued a new command: keep going. Walking forward hard, more than 50 meters out of the village, the navigation spoke again: reach the destination, the navigation is over.
Looking up, there is a mountain in front of you, there is no way up the mountain, and there is no door to enter the mountain. No way, turn the car around and walk back, return to the avenue, go forward for a few hundred meters, and arrive at the parking lot of the Big Ice Gully Scenic Area. Friends said: How does this navigation lead? I said: there is nothing wrong with navigation, it gives you navigation to the bottom of the mountain, it is to let you park your car at the foot of the mountain outside the scenic area, and then climb over the mountain to enter the scenic area. No parking fees or tickets.
The full name of what we call Da Binggou National Geoforest Park, a national 4A-level tourist scenic spot, is the creative base of Liaoning Photographers Association. According to the data, the Great Ice Gully belongs to the southeastern extension of the Changbai Mountain Range, which was formed in the late Jurassic period 140 million years ago. With a total area of 10 square kilometers and a forest coverage rate of 97%, the park is a natural oxygen bar surrounded by mountains. When I arrived at the scenic area, I learned that the big ice gully is composed of one stream, nine lakes, eighteen bays, and seventy-two scenes, with strange peaks, forests, strange rocks, waterfalls, and streams, and forest springs boardwalks. Although it is a mountain road, it is very spacious and flat, with green mountains and green water beside it, blue sky and white clouds looking up, clear water flowing under the bridge, and clear springs gushing in the lake. When I got closer, there were four small words on it: "Northern Song Su Shi", and I was puzzled, when did Su Dongpo come to Benxi, Liaoning? Later, I learned that the scenic spot borrowed the handwriting of celebrities, and such carved stones are available in many scenic spots, because they are imitations, I will no longer pay attention to them.
The blue sky, white clouds, green mountains and boulders reflected in the lake water, dozens of koi suddenly swam away, three, three, five, five, frolicking, suddenly gathered into a pile, robbing the food left by the tourists. A few fallen leaves flutter slowly in the calm water of the lake, quietly telling people that autumn is coming.
It is said that the Maple Mountain Battlements of the Great Ice Gully are beautiful, and it is one of the most original attractions of the Great Ice Gully, and it has several historical monuments that cannot be left unattended.
Follow the "Battlement Gallery" to the "Tianmen Pass", the whole distance is 2.5 kilometers. There are more than a dozen ancient charcoal kiln ruins distributed here, most of which are charcoal kiln ruins from the Ming and Qing dynasties and the Republic of China. The Fengshan Battlement Road is an ancient road where horse gangs sold charcoal through the ridges and valleys of the Great Ice Gully back then, and is known as the Tea Horse Road in the north.
Autumn in the mountains of eastern Liaoning is colorful and full of autumn leaves. The maple leaves of Benxi are more famous and have long been known as the capital of maple leaves, but the maple leaves of the Great Ice Gully are less known and have only gradually become known in recent years. It is said that there are 10,000 maple trees in the maple battlements, making it a great place to see the maple leaves in autumn. Maple trees here are widely distributed and dense, because of climate and sunshine and other factors, maple leaves are red in batches, some red earlier, some fall later, and the time to watch the autumn leaves is more than a month. In addition to maple trees, there are also plants such as quercus trees, purple linden, and yellow pineapples, which are colorful in autumn.
There is a section of Lin Quan plank road in the main ditch of the big ice gully, from Moon Bay to Fengqiao, about 1080 meters, surrounded by mountains and forests, elegant and quiet. Under the cover of trees, the boardwalk is accompanied by the cool stream water, and it suddenly feels refreshing.
Walking slowly along the boardwalk, I occasionally saw the slightly reddish maple leaves in the emerald green, as if to tell me that autumn is really coming, and in another month it will be colorful and colorful. On the edge of the wooded forest next to the boardwalk, I met the jujube, a perennial vine woody plant. The area around Changbai Mountain is the main source of jujube, which mainly grows deep in the forest.
In the large glacial gully, the pavement is paved with small stone slabs, and the stream flows through the gaps between the plates. Walking on the small stone slab, there is a different feeling. When the stream is large, the road surface is submerged in the stream, and at this time, it is necessary to line up from the jumping stone slab raised by the side of the road to the opposite side one by one, and at this time there is a sense of curiosity. When people pass by on both sides, stepping over this jumping stone really requires a little technology and coordinated cooperation, and there will be a little friction if it is not done.
The stream in Mingcui River is trickling, the water is clear and rocky, and the forest is dense, although it is irregular, but it is varied. An elm tree in the forest, more than 100 years old. Mingcui Creek elm, also known as the tree of the north, deciduous tree, hardy and drought-resistant, edible young leaves, white elm bark can also be floured and floured. Don't underestimate this Mingcui Creek elm tree, I heard that it once rescued the anti-Japanese officers and soldiers in the secret camp and was regarded by the locals as a hero of the anti-Japanese resistance.
Not far from the end of the plank road is Dawanggou, a secret camp site of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation. According to records, Wang Dianjia, a native of Liaoyang, Liaoning, organized an anti-Japanese mountain and forest team in the southern part of Benxi County in 1934 based on the Great Ice Gully to resist the Japanese invaders. In 1935, this unit was reorganized as the Independent Battalion of the First Division of the First Army of the Anti-Japanese Coalition Army of the Northeast People's Army. On June 4, 1935, with two guns, 12 people attacked the Nanfen railway station, killing 4 Japanese soldiers and 2 puppet soldiers, and captured 14 guns and more than 1600 rounds of ammunition. Later, it won many victories against the Japanese invaders and bandits, and became a strong force in the Benxi Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army. In June 1936, the independent battalion was promoted to the main force of the 1st Anti-Union Division and incorporated into the 3rd Forward Regiment of the 1st Division, with Wang Dianjia as the deputy regiment commander. Wang Dianjia died heroically in the first western expedition of the Anti-Alliance. In the big ice gully, there are many secret camp sites of the Wang Dianjia troops in the past.
From the mouth of Dawanggou, along the plank road to the mountain, there is the site of the anti-alliance secret camp outpost. The outpost is 10 meters long and 2.5 meters wide, condescending, and the site is hidden, and there are anti-alliance cookout sites not far away. The railing of the boardwalk is covered with information on the anti-Japanese situation in those years, which is a red tourist route.
300 meters up from the site of the Wangdian Jia Anti-Union Secret Camp is the Seven Disc Spring, the spring water flows through seven steps, forming a stepped waterfall, at this time the amount of water is not large, and several trickles slowly descend. It is said that this is the place where the anti-alliance fighters lived and drew water. More than 1,000 meters up is the site of the headquarters of the Jia Secret Camp of Wang Dianjia, which has not yet been developed.
From the original road of Nankakusen, go down the mountain to the mouth of the razochi, return to the main road and continue up the mountain. There was a well on the side of the road, the cement well fence was engraved with the word "ice spring", and the stone behind the well was engraved with five big characters "Lei Gong Dian Mother Well". The following lines of small red characters read: According to legend, a long time ago, there was a severe drought one year, and the wells in Shiliba Village dried up. A young man went up the mountain to find water but did not come across. Sleepy, dreams gushed out of a fountain of ice, and a couple were drinking. Q: Where did the spring come from? Answer: The spring seam... The young man woke up, the ice fountain was there, and there was a thunder and lightning mother law in the well, and for a while manna fell from the sky, the drought stopped, and there was no dryness. The people learned that on the 24th day of June of the lunar calendar, Lei Gongdian Mother's birthday, the incense is strong, and the blessings are smooth and the rain is smooth, auspicious and healthy!
Leaving the "Lei Gong Dian Mother Well" and continuing to walk, the foot of the mountain meets the jade pot pool, the foot of the mountain is shady with green trees, and the water of the pool is clear. The vertical stone next to the pool is engraved with three large characters "Jade Kettle Pool". I don't know if the three words of Jade Kettle Lake are written well, or because the water of the pool can see the bottom, several people lined up to take turns standing in front of the stone carvings to take photos. Taking advantage of the gap between the two of them, I snapped a photo, and the vertical stone, big characters, and pool water were included in the mirror.
In the midst of green mountains and waters, I suddenly saw the remains of a landslide halfway up the mountain. The vegetation on the mountain was gone, but the bare mountain was exposed, and there was a huge rock on the road surface, with the words "Landslide Ruins" engraved on it.

Further on, there is another boardwalk up the mountain, leading directly to the Big Ice Gully Waterfall.
The Great Ice Gully Waterfall is a waterfall in the Great Ice Gully Mulan Ice Valley waterfall complex. The Mulan Ice Valley Waterfall Group is mainly composed of five waterfalls, which are Chasing Wind Waterfall, Feihong Waterfall, Hunsa Waterfall, Shuyu Waterfall, and Big Ice Gou Waterfall. Among them, the highest drop of the Rainbow Waterfall is 40 meters, and the width of the Great Ice Gully Waterfall is 15 meters.
Walking to the end of the canyon, you can see the large ice gully waterfall, a waterfall that falls tens of meters, and the water flow forms three steps, which is magnificent.
Peculiarly, the ice valley freezes in November every year, and the ice body is crystal clear, like jade agate, stretching for 3-4 kilometers, the thickest point is 5-6 meters, and it only melts in June and July of the following year. We didn't come at the right time, the winter ice falls were not visible, and the remnants of the summer ice were melted.
Opposite the waterfall are the twin towers, which are hidden by dense branches and trunks. I really want to come back to the big ice trench a month earlier next year.

In addition to industry, the hot springs of Benxi are also famous, and the hot springs of the small city of Benxi were famous for decades.
