According to the people of the island, the island is currently facing a shortage of water in the dry season, and the tap water produced on the island is not enough to meet the demand. Normally, 1 ton of water costs 150 baht, and the water truck can carry 2 tons at a time. However, when the demand for water is high, the price will rise to 350-400 baht, and during the severe dry season, the water truck can rise to 1,000-1,200 baht per trip.
It is understood that the tap water production project on Koh Lan Island is not able to meet the daily needs of the island's people, so the island is facing a serious water shortage and water prices are more expensive.
