The selection of counselors of the year is held once a year, aiming to commend the advanced, set up a model, encourage the majority of college counselors to better practice the mission of "educating people for the party and educating talents for the country", promote the professionalization of the counselor team, implement the fundamental task of Lide tree people, and make greater contributions to the efforts to cultivate socialist builders and successors who develop morally, intellectually, physically, aesthetically, and labor in an all-round way. Deeply carry out research on ideological and political theory and practice, publish more than ten papers, and preside over more than 20 major research topics at all levels of ideological and political science, including one of the first batch of new liberal arts research and reform practice projects of the Ministry of Education, one fine project of ideological and political work in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, and nineteen awards such as the outstanding guidance teacher of social practice in Chengdu "three going to the countryside" and the first Tang Lixin Excellent Counselor Award of Sichuan University.
