Wayne Rooney apologized to his wife, Colleen, and her family for his "nightclub photo door," but insisted he was the victim.
Recently, the 35-year-old Derby County coach was photographed sleeping in a hotel room surrounded by a group of women and posted on the Internet, causing adverse effects.
After derby County's 1-0 win over Real Betis' friendly, Rooney told Sky Sports: "I made a mistake and I went to a private party with two friends. ”
"I hereby apologize to my family and the club."
"I want to move on. I'm grateful to Derby County for giving me this opportunity to get this team back where it belongs. ”
"I'll do my best to do that."
Asked if he felt like a victim, Rooney added: "Yeah, but I really don't want to talk about that. ”
'This matter has been resolved and I look forward to moving on and preparing for another game on Sunday."
His wife has been standing by Rooney's side since his photo came to light, and she spent an afternoon on the beach with her children on Wednesday.
The photos didn't shake his 13-year marriage to his wife, Colleen, who believed him completely and felt that her husband was a victim of the scam.
Last weekend, Rooney was photographed on social apps: Snapchat model Tyler Ryan and her friends Elise Melvin and Brooke Morgan in a hotel chair.
After the photos were leaked and went viral online, Looney was said to have been heavily criticised by derbyshire's top brass.
But the Sun said Rooney would continue his £90,000 a week job and that he would set his standards as the club's manager and leader, there was no doubt about it.
According to The Mirror, the girls "voluntarily" handed him the photos and apologized in writing for the "embarrassment" caused.
A statement said: "These are three decent young women who go out at night. They didn't expect Rooney to end up with them and regretted the results the photos had caused. ”
"They got carried away and did something they would regret afterwards. They didn't expect the photo to appear in the mainstream media after it was posted on social media, so they decided to take steps to correct the mistake. ”
The photos, which have been shared thousands of times online, show Rooney sleeping in a hotel surrounded by half-naked girls after a night of binge drinking in Manchester.
Rooney, 35, complained to police that the photos were "taken without his knowledge or consent" and that he feared he was a "framed" victim.
