"Guozi Cultural Context - Successive Jinshi Culture and Art Joint Exhibition" opened at the Forbidden City

  International Online News (Reporter Ding Xu): "Guozi Cultural Context - Successive Jinshi Culture and Art Joint Exhibition" opened at the Palace Museum on the 16th. With the main purpose of inheriting the excellent traditional Chinese culture and promoting the traditional Chinese virtues, the exhibition selects 179 important works of the Jin Shi group since the Tang Dynasty, and displays the extraordinary achievements made by outstanding figures in philosophy, classics, history, literature and art, as well as their immortal contributions to the prosperity and development of Chinese civilization through the theme units of "The Road to Jin Shi", "Erudite Confucianism" and "Art Garden Qunying".

  Du Haijiang, vice president of the Palace Museum, said that the holding of this exhibition, by telling the story of cultural relics full of family and country feelings and reflecting the family style of tutors, enables the audience to fully understand the interrelationship of "self-cultivation, unity of family, governance of the country, and peace in the world" in Chinese culture, and knows the reasons for the "family and country feelings" of Chinese people since ancient times, as well as the responsibility of "the sound of wind and rain reading in the ears, family affairs, state affairs, and the world cares about everything".

  According to reports, the exhibition is hosted by the Palace Museum, Beijing Cultural Relics Exchange Center, Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum. The exhibition will be held simultaneously in the main hall of the Noonday Gate of the Forbidden City and the exhibition hall of the Dongyan Wing, the Temple of Confucius and the Art Hall of the Guozijian Museum, from January 17 to April 2, 2023.
