The method of spiritual victory implied by this joke is not unique to China, it is no exaggeration to say that it exists in the world.
When it comes to the Spiritual Victory Method, it is natural to talk about Mr. Lu Xun's "A Q Zheng Biography". The story is set in the countryside before and after the Xinhai Revolution, creating the image of Ah Q, an immortal wandering peasant.

So he won; when others asked him to admit that he was "a man beating a beast", he admitted to himself with contempt: "Fight insects, okay?"
But he immediately thought: He is the first person who can be self-contemptuous and self-deprecating, except for "self-contempt and self-contempt", the rest is "the first", "Isn't the yuan also the 'first'?" So he won again. What should I do when I encounter various "spiritual victory methods" that cannot be applied?
Once, he gambled money and won once, but the money that was easy to win was taken away by a series of robberies. Saying that he was snatched away by his son, saying that he was a worm, or not happy, this time he felt that he really tasted the pain of failure, so he beat himself, felt as if he had hit the other party, and went to sleep contentedly.
Ah Q is bullied by others, but in the face of people in an unsurprising position, he still wants to play the role of strong. One day, Ah Q saw "Wang Hu" catching lice in the sun, and Ah Q also caught lice, but seeing that his lice were actually less than the "Wang Hu" he despised, and there was no sound of Wang Hu biting, Ah Q felt that his self-esteem was hurt, so he found a stubble to fight. However, he lost to "Wang Hu", who thought he was not his opponent.
Just then, the "fake foreign devil" came over. Usually Ah Q saw that he often hid away, but today Ah Q was angry, and in order to get angry, he scolded a bald donkey, so he was beaten by the young master with a weeping stick. At this time, the little nun came over, this is good, Ah Q is swearing at her and pinching her face, and finally feels that the breath just held is gone, and it is full of pride. The angry little nun ran away crying and scolded: Ah Q who cut off his children and grandchildren!
However, Ah Q's fingers that pinched the little nun's face always had a slippery feeling, which made him always think in his heart and couldn't put it down. "A Q who has cut off his children and grandchildren!" - the little nun's scolding echoed in his ears, and he felt that he was thinking of women. So he seduced Old Lady Zhao's maid Wu Ma, under the stimulation of shock and shame, Wu Ma almost hanged herself, after being known by everyone, all of Ah Q's property was suppressed, and he apologized to Old Mrs. Zhao to resolve the matter.
After that, whenever Ah Q walked on the street, the women in the village avoided him. I don't know why. No one hired him for a short-term job. Ah Q did not understand very much. Later, he finally found out that everyone had hired Little D and didn't want him anymore. So he fought with the enemy Little D, regardless of whether he won or lost. Penniless, he was too hungry to bear it, but no one was willing to give him credit, so he went to a nunnery far from the village to steal turnips, and after eating the turnips, he decided to leave Weizhuang.
Half a year later, Ah Q quietly returned to Weizhuang, this time because he had a lot of money in his pocket, and the people in the village looked at him with admiration. He said he worked in the family of a man in the city and won the respect of the people. He triumphantly talked to the people about seeing the killing of the head of the revolutionary party in the city. Because Ah Q has a lot of clothes, the women who used to hide from Ah Q also came to buy. Grandpa Zhao also wants to buy it.
However, he felt that Ah Q was a little suspicious, and asked everyone to be wary of him as a thief. In this way he was respected and far away in the village. Some idlers pursued the truth, and Ah Q told them without concealment that he was not actually a thief, but only a hand for the thief, and those things came to him by accident. So those who respected him began to laugh at him for not being able to be a thief.
<h1>His spiritual victory method makes him always proud</h1>
The rumors of the revolution spread to the village, causing uneasiness in the village, Ah Q saw the revolutionary party being killed, felt that he had also become a revolutionary party, and the villagers also began to curry favor with Ah Q, a "revolutionary party". A Q believed that the revolutionary party would come to him, and he slept with the dream of grabbing a lot of things. The next day, when he got up and went to the nunnery to make a revolution, he learned that the fake foreign devils had already come and "revolutionized" decent things, which disappointed him.
Although the revolution was carried out, nothing significantly changed except that people walked down the street with their braids cut off and went home crying. A Q was very dissatisfied. When I inquired, I learned that the fake foreign devil had become a high official of the revolutionary party. He also wanted to ask the foreign devils to let him join the revolutionary party, but the fake foreign devils who were giving a speech threw him out. One night, Grandpa Zhao's house was robbed. Ah Q went out to see the bustle and saw the revolutionary parties moving things in and out. Ah Q felt particularly sorry. He believes that this is because the fake foreign devils do not allow themselves to revolutionize, so the revolutionary party has not come to call itself.
The robbery of the Zhao family caused Panic in Weizhuang. On the fourth day of the incident, the Tugu Ancestral Hall where Ah Q lived was surrounded by troops, and Ah Q was easily captured. He was sent to the prison in the city, but he himself did not know why he had been arrested. Taken to the courtroom and seen rows of big men, he unconsciously had weak legs. He was tried for robbery of the Zhao family. He stated to the people that the revolution did not allow himself to join the resentment, so the leader asked him to sign a piece of paper, and Ah Q could not read.
They told him to draw circles. For the first time in his life, he held a pen and wanted to draw a circle, but with a shake of his hand, he drew the shape of a melon seed. He felt that this was the humiliation of his life, and he regretted it too much. But when I think about it, Sun Tzu can paint it well, and I am relieved again.
One day he was called out, dressed in white, and in a guarded car, and he was very proud. Suddenly he realized that this was going to be beheaded, and there was darkness in front of him. But immediately he calmed down again: "It seems that in the world of life, it is inevitable that you will have to kill your head sometimes."
In the crowd of people watching, he saw the long-lost Wu Ma, but Wu Ma ma did not look at him, but looked at the soldiers' foreign guns. Then he found that the eyes of those who were watching the hilarity were very similar to the eyes of the wolf that had been chasing him four years ago. Those eyes were all together as if biting his "soul". He heard the gunshots in his ears and felt his whole body burst apart.
It has been said that some victors are willing to be like tigers and eagles, and only then do they feel the joy of victory; if they are like sheep, like chickens, they feel the boredom of victory. And some victors, when they have overcome everything, see the dead dead, descended, "the subject is sincerely afraid of capital crimes and capital crimes", so he has no enemies, no opponents, no friends, only himself, a lonely, desolate, lonely, he feels the sadness of victory.
However, Ah Q did not think so, and his spiritual victory method made him always proud. This is the A-Q spirit.

In fact, everything has a source, and the spiritual victory law of the people at that time was inherited from the feudal rulers. After the Opium War of 1840, the feudal ruling class formed a perverted psychology under this special history, on the one hand, it was a slave to the imperialists, showing a slave appearance; on the other hand, it put on the shelf of its master's master for its subjects under its rule, and carried out crazy suppression and ferocious exploitation.

At the beginning, Mr. Lu Xun criticized the spiritual victory law, China was in a semi-feudal and semi-colonial area and was oppressed, if the Chinese people indulged in self-deception in the spiritual victory law, living in the safe environment they created and did not think of making progress, how could China have hope, Mr. Lu Xun's original intention was to awaken the "sleeping" masses and make a bitter satire on the spiritual victory law.
