No. 32380: The isthmus of La Gomera, the world's shortest border enclave (85 meters long).

La Gomera is 119 km southeast of Ceuta, 400 m long from northwest to southeast, up to 100 m wide, and has a land area of about 0.019 km². Occupied by Spain in 1564, the island is inhabited by about 500 people. La Gomera was an independent island until 1934, and due to a thunderstorm, the sediment blocked the small strait between La Gomera and the Moroccan mainland, after which the island became a peninsula, and the strait became an isthmus, only 85 meters wide.

【Huang's Ancient Architecture Encyclopedia】No. 40151: La Gomera Island;

La Gomera is an island in the Spanish Canary Islands. With an area of about 370 square kilometers, the island is the second smallest of the seven largest islands in the archipelago. The island belongs to the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and is divided into 6 municipalities. The capital is San Sebastián de la Gomera. The total population is 20,721 (2014). The island is a volcanic island with rugged terrain, with the highest point being Galahornai at 1487 meters above sea level.

La Gomera is a volcanic island that is roughly circular in shape and has a diameter of about 22 km. It is shaped a bit like an orange cut horizontally in half and then separated from the sac, with a deep canyon between the sacs. At the top of the hillside is covered with leafy forests (temperate rainforests) with up to 1270 mm of precipitation per year. These forested summits are surrounded by clouds almost all year round, forming a dense and diverse vegetation.

The Canary Islands are southwest of Morocco on the mid-Atlantic Ocean northwest of Western Sahara, near the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira to the north. The Canary Islands, an archipelago under Spanish jurisdiction, is one of the seventeen autonomous communities of Spain and one of the most extended special areas of the European Union.
