It is not without reason that domestic riders are looking forward to the Ténéré 700, as it is one of the few motorcycles currently with a true Dakar rally pedigree.
Yamaha of Japan developed a 1:9 setting for the car at the beginning of the design, which means that one point is reserved for the road and the remaining 9 points are reserved for the non-paved road. So the original setting of the Ténéré 700 is enough to do some pulling things.
In terms of shock absorption, kyb43mm is used for inverted front shock absorption with a stroke of 210 mm and adjustable compression and rebound damping. Rear shock absorbers are saxophones with a 200 mm stroke with quick adjustment preload and rebound damping adjustable. Paired with a wire spoke wheelset of front 21 and rear 18, the Ténéré 700 has a minimum ground clearance of 240mm and a sitting height of 875mm.
The World Raid version is more violent, not only the front and rear shock strokes are increased by 20mm, the fuel tank volume is also upgraded to 23L, and the fuel tank design is closer to the saddle fuel tank of the KTM 790 ADV, so the vehicle's center of gravity is more down, and the rider can also change the center of gravity more conveniently during the ride like a buggy.
(The sitting height also came to 890mm, and the curb weight was 220kg)
(Hlins steering damper is also standard)
The instrument is also different from the traditional rally car settings, Ténéré700 World Raid Edition adopts a rectangular color LCD instrument, which has more mobile phone interconnection functions than the ordinary version of the monochrome instrument in terms of function, and also supports the three-stage adjustable of ABS, mode one is normal opening, mode two is front wheel opening, mode three is front and back off.
On the engine, the Ténéré 700 World Raid is still a Yamaha-led CP2 engine, the actual displacement of 698cc, the maximum power of 54 kw/ 9000rpm, the maximum torque of 68nm / 6500rpm, this engine has helped Ténéré700 in the Tunisian Desert Challenge to win the first championship, and its opponents are all professional 450RALLY models.
To be honest, I didn't think this car would be introduced before, after all, the 790 ADV after CKD has a very good price advantage, and there is no reason why the Ténéré700, which is still high in electronic control, will sell better than the 790ADV, so when I learned the news that this car was about to be introduced, I was really a little surprised, Yamaha did pay more and more attention to the domestic market.
Next, we still look forward to the day when the Ténéré 700 is officially released, although the hardcore ADV is not just needed in China, but a variety of choices is always a good thing for consumers.
