Independent brand medium and large MPV, finally have an electric version.
Previously, Roewe iMAX8, Trumpchi M8, SAIC Maxus G90 and other models have not released plug-in hybrid or pure electric versions. Recently, roewe iMAX8 ushered in its electric version, the new car named "Roewe iMAX8 EV", for the first pure electric medium and large MPV of its own brand.
The Roewe iMAX8 EV is equipped with a front-drive motor with a maximum power of 180kW, a ternary lithium battery of 90kWh, a cruising range of 550 km (test conditions unknown), and a 30-80% fast charge of 30 minutes.
In terms of appearance, the Roewe iMAX8 EV has been adjusted in the shape of the intake grille compared to the fuel version, and the new Ronglin black diamond grille design is adopted, and the visual effect is exquisite. Officially, the large-size grille has 66 diamond cutting craft trims, which means the auspicious and smooth meaning of traditional Chinese culture, but in terms of design, the new energy characteristics are not obvious. The new car offers four car colors to choose from, namely Silver, Pearlescent White, Nebula Blue, and Ronglin Gray
From the perspective of charging interface, Roewe iMAX8 EV supports fast charging and slow charging, and the slow charging time is not yet known. Body size and wheelbase have also not yet been announced, and speculation is consistent with the fuel version of the model.
In terms of interior, the Roewe iMAX8 EV and the fuel version remain highly similar, and the surround center console is suitable for IKEA with light color matching. The new car provides a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central control screen, built-in Zebra Zhixing VENUS system, and also equipped with D-MARK (Digital Mark) small red frame AR-driving virtual safety display function.
In terms of seats, a 2+2+3 seat layout will continue to be provided, while retaining the segmented panoramic sunroof.
Roewe iMAX8 sales are currently sluggish, with fewer units sold out of 1,000 units in the past six months. The Roewe iMAX8 EV will enrich its product line, and the two will participate in the competition in the large and medium-sized MPV markets or will see an increase in sales.
