Obviously, this poem is directly related to "Duff Appreciation". Late Dafu and Yingxia were invited to drink in Jufeng Garden, and the same table was Liu Yazi and his wife, Dafu's brother and sister-in-law, and Lin Huiyin.
Why did Yu Dafu invite guests, why did it arouse Lu Xun's interest in making oil poems, and he called himself an "idle person"? This is related to the topic of the dinner table. This dinner was hosted by Yu Dafu and Wang Yingxia, and the main guests should be Lu Xun and Xu Guangping. Liu Yazi and his wife are accompanying guests, Yu Dafu's brother and sister-in-law Yu Hua (Mantuo) and Chen Bitzen, who are counted as half lords and half guests.
Lin Huiyin was a literary youth, probably had something to do with Yu Dafu, and took the opportunity to follow Yu Dafu to meet Lu Xun. Regarding this meal, Yu Dafu, Wang Yingxia, Liu Yazi, and Chen Bitzen all had some memories afterwards. But what exactly was discussed at the table, and even contributed to the writing of Lu Xun's "Self-Deprecating" poem, is unclear.
Only on December 6, 1956, in the Evening Edition of Xinmin Bao, there was a short article entitled "The First Writing of the "Baby Cow"" that mentioned a dialogue between Yu and Lu. The original text is as follows: When Lu Xun arrived, Duff made a joke to him, saying: "You have worked hard these days." ”
