1. Handle the mucus to prevent suffocation.
After the lamb is born, we must wipe its body clean in time, and we must also pay attention to removing the mucus and amniotic fluid in the lamb's mouth and nostrils to prevent the lamb from suspending death. If the ewe's lamb love is weak, we can apply the mucus on the lamb's mouth, or sprinkle a layer of bran on the lamb and let the ewe lick it, which will help build up the mother-child relationship.
On the day of the lamb's birth, we can give it about 3 ml: Lik taibao, which can play a role in preventing diarrhea.
2. Cut the umbilical cord.
After the lamb is born, there is a more important job, which is to cut the umbilical cord. The part of the lamb's umbilical cord is generally about 6-8 cm in the umbilical cord of the lamb, and we use scissors or cut off the umbilical cord by hand, and then apply iodine for disinfection.
3. Timely feeding of colostrum.
After the lamb is born and is able to stand, it instinctively feeds. However, before the lamb can feed, we need to wash the ewe's breast with potassium permanganate, so that the ewe's udder and nipple can be washed and disinfected. It is also important to note that the first few drops of milk are squeezed out, and the purpose of this is to allow the lamb to quickly find the nipple and let the lamb eat the milk in time.
If the ewe does not have milk, we can give it to the ewe: Wang Milk Tai Bao, added to the hay eaten by the ewe, the effect of milking the ewe is very good.
4 Insulation.
In the winter or early spring, the weather is generally relatively cold, so it is easy for lambs to catch a cold after birth, and it will also be diluted because of colds, so it is also important to keep the lamb warm. In the place where the lamb is lying down, we can lay a little more mat grass, or a clean cloth, to avoid the lamb from catching a cold while resting.
