A more "open" pure electric drive: Taycan Cross Turismo

The Taycan Cross Turismo's new chassis technology expands the sporty driving scene of the taycan, a pure electric sports car, to the road, on the track and off-road. More ample rear seating space and luggage compartment loading enhance comfort and convenience on long journeys, significantly improving everyday practicality. Taycan Cross Turismo adds to the need to enjoy an active lifestyle.

The Taycan Cross Turismo is available in 4 powered versions, all with a 93.4kWh Performance Battery Plus as standard.

The more "open" driving prowess benefits from the latest chassis technology. All four models come standard with a high-tech chassis with four-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension, with ground clearance up to 30mm higher than the Taycan in "Normal" driving mode, giving the Taycan Cross Turismo excellent passability on both on-road and off-road terrain. The standard gravel mode "Gravel Mode" is designed for light off-road terrain such as sand and dirt roads to ensure power delivery and precise driving control, enhancing the Taycan Cross Turismo's adaptability to driving on uneven roads. With the 800V electric drive system of the inherited family, powerful performance can respond to the driver at any time. As a result, the Taycan Cross Turismo can handle more driving conditions with ease.

A more "open" space experience encompasses seating and storage. Compared with the regular Taycan, the Taycan Cross Turismo has 47mm more head space for rear passengers, and with the panoramic fixed glass sunroof that is standard in the Chinese market, the enhanced sense of space and transparency makes the seat more comfortable. The luggage compartment volume has been increased to 1212 liters, the large tailgate is designed to facilitate the storage of luggage, and storage components such as partition nets, luggage hooks and luggage retention belts ensure that luggage items are in order to better meet different travel needs.

In addition, the Tayan Cross Turismo inherits Porsche's reliable mileage calculation logic, which greatly reduces journey anxiety. The Taycan Cross Turismo series has a range of up to 523km (CLTC). The "WYSIWYG" meter mileage comprehensively considers many energy consumption factors, including driving style, road conditions, outside temperature, the use of auxiliary equipment, etc., so the meter mileage estimate is more realistic and reliable. Over time, the Taycan Cross Turismo's measured mileage will gradually fit the owner's driving habits and become more accurate.

In terms of design, the Taycan Cross Turismo perfectly presents the high-profile shape of the Mission E Cross Turismo concept car. Including wheel arch trims, unique front and rear lower skirts, and side sills, the off-road style is full of style. As part of the Off-Road Design assembly, special skid plates are used at the corners of the front and rear bumpers and at the ends of the sills to prevent stone impacts. Selected for the Off-Road Design component, a compass will be added to the top of the dashboard, a rotating compass dial simulates the direction of the front of the car, and provides altitude and time information on the digital display, with a simple and technological interior.

The Taycan Cross Turismo is the first Porsche model to be carbon neutral throughout its entire life cycle, marking an important milestone in Porsche's move towards carbon neutrality across the value chain by 2030.

Taycan Upgrade Experience: Panoramic skylight with light control

The 2022 Taycan series ushered in a high-tech upgrade experience – a panoramic sunroof with light control and simultaneous application to the newly released Taycan Cross Tursimo and Taycan GTS models.

The entire sunroof is divided into nine individually controllable zones, which can be toggled with just a finger click: including "Clear", "Matt", "Semi" and "Bold". The sunroof even enables a dynamic "roller shutter" function: when the Taycan driver swipes his finger across the sunroof icon in the display, the corresponding sections are activated sequentially.

The innovative panoramic sunroof uses a multi-layer structure that effectively shields thermal radiation even in a transparent state, preventing glare while significantly improving the lighting and heat insulation effect in the car. Simulation measurements of daylight conducted by porsche R&D Center Weissach show that only 15% of the heat can enter the interior space through the new panoramic sunroof, compared with more than 30% of the traditional sunroof.

The Porsche Charging Network continues to expand: a hassle-free charging experience throughout

Based on the life scenes and travel habits of Porsche car owners, Porsche's charging network layout in China has been further improved to ensure that car owners can travel worry-free throughout the journey.

Home Charging: Customers who successfully purchase Taycan receive free access to home charging equipment and basic installation services, striving to achieve "ready-to-use" access. Customers who have already started home charging installation have a success rate of 93.5%, which not only covers first- and second-tier cities, but also includes Sichuan Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Honghe Hani Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Qianxi Southwest Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and other regions.

Porsche "Premium Charging" network: As of mid-April 2022, 119 Porsche Centres in 77 cities are equipped with 800V Turbo charging stations; 103 Premium Charging Stations have been set up in hotspots in 20 cities across the country, covering Turbo charging stations and 400V SuperChargering Stations. This year, five new cities will also be covered – Xiamen, Kunming, Fuzhou, Shenyang and Hefei.

In Porsche's "Destination Charging" network, which works with select hotels at high-end, Taycan owners enjoy free charging. As of mid-April 2022, more than 135 destination charging piles have been completed nationwide.

By the end of March 2022, Porsche had integrated more than 410,000 third-party charging piles in more than 200 cities across the country.
