The situation faced by Chinese car owners who defended their rights is very similar: Porsche did not carry the electronic steering column of the steering wheel when the vehicle was delivered because of the shortage of chips, and first installed a manual model for the owners. The manufacturer also promised the owners to make up for it afterwards, and one car owner also revealed that Porsche had signed a "backup agreement" with him. According to some car owners, the price of the electronic steering column of this steering wheel is about 38,000 yuan.
However, since then, Porsche has unilaterally "broken the contract", no longer reloaded the electronic steering column for the owners, and only provided a voucher of 2300 yuan as compensation.
This makes many car owners very annoyed. After all, they spent 800,000 yuan to more than 1.2 million yuan to buy a new Porsche car, and the electronic steering column was also included in the price of the basic configuration in the contract, but eventually encountered the treatment of Porsche reduction.
In addition to the car owners who have launched complaints online, according to the Economic Observation Network, there are already more than 500 group friends in the relevant rights protection groups. And Porsche's sales staff revealed that there are more than 20,000 new cars involved in the above problems.
