Overwatch 2 was released in 2019, and after years of development, the upgraded hero shooter began to enter PvP testing. Prior to the test, Blizzard Entertainment released a FAQ and Q&A on the test, answering a variety of questions about who can participate, when the test begins, and how to join it.

First, players selected to participate in the test will receive an email to the email address linked to their Blizzard account. To take the Overwatch 2 test, you must have a version of the original Overwatch on PC. The PVP beta doesn't have any specific times of day, so you can play it at any time if you can get in, and the beta will last from April 26 to May 17.
What if you don't receive an email from Blizzard? Well, there's another way to join overwatch 2 beta via Twitch Drops. If you watch a specific Twitch stream between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Pacific Time (Blizzard lists these streams in the FAQ), you'll get a beta invitation, which is an official bonus. The rules for entry are the same as above, so before taking out your free time to watch a live stream, make sure you have a copy of overwatch on your PC. Blizzard doesn't have any restrictions on video recording or live streaming for this event.
In the PVP beta of Overwatch 2, there will be some changes to the gameplay of Overwatch that you may be familiar with. First of all, the game was played between two teams with 5 players each, changing the traditional 6v6 that we've been playing for years. A new hero, Sojourn, will join the Hero Roster, which is already a major change to Meta, not to mention that several other characters, Orisa and Doomfist, are undergoing a full redo.
If you're lucky enough to receive an invitation somehow, here are the required configuration parameters for Overwatch 2 players to play on PC, as Blizzard says.
