The degree of development of the transferred embryos is different: D3 embryos versus D5 blastocysts
The mother with the low value above is a 3-day embryo, and the mother with a high value is a blastocyst. Embryos that develop longer have more trophoblast cells and higher blood hCG levels. The embryo on day 3 is in the cleft stage and has not yet differentiated into trophoblast cells; the blastocyst is an embryo that has developed to the 5th day and has differentiated into a trophoblast layer. Therefore, even if the transplant is carried on the same day, the blastocyst "wins the starting line" than the split embryo, and the blood level of the expectant mother will be higher.
Implanting a single embryo is different from multiple embryos
The blood hCG value of multiple pregnancies will generally be higher than that of singletons, but this does not mean that a high blood value is necessarily twin. In order to improve the success rate of test tubes, 2 to 3 embryos may be transferred, but the current medical technology does not guarantee that a few embryos will survive the transfer of a few embryos, and some poorly developed embryos may naturally survive the survival of the fittest.
Differences in implantation times
Embryos with the same degree of development may also have different times to implant the endometrium, and if the embryo implants earlier, it will secrete HCG earlier, and the HCG detection value will be higher.
Individualized differences in embryonic development
The rate of development of each embryo cannot be exactly the same, just as all first-grade children will have objective differences in height, weight, learning ability and athletic ability.
The difference in HCG values between expectant mothers is large and makes no sense in comparing them with each other. As long as the embryo develops smoothly and grows, all aspects of the detection index are within the normal range, and the development of the embryonic baby is healthy. Expectant mothers should not worry too much about anxiety, maintain a relaxed and happy mood, and their children can develop healthily
