Tesla founder Musk has devoted himself to a number of high-tech product development in recent years, following the establishment of space service company SpaceX to launch the StarLink service, but also invested in artificial intelligence (AI) development projects, the launch of the humanoid robot "Optimus".
At his Cyber Rodeo event in Texas recently, Musk discussed the future of Optimus and humanoid robots in society with Chris Anderson at TED, and Musk also revealed the production schedule and estimated price of Tesla's humanoid robot Optimus.

Musk said: "Tesla tends to make a robot for dangerous, boring, repetitive and things that people don't want to do"; in addition, Tesla will show a "prototype" of the Optimus robot sometime this year, and by 2023 "there may be something useful" appearing, and by 2025 or so, optimus utility will grow rapidly and become a reality.
Optimus Prime robot is about 1.75 meters tall, weighs 56 kilograms, made of lightweight materials, looks smoother than human skin, at first, Optimus Prime's use will be used for dangerous, monotonous work, as Tesla humanoid robot technology gradually matures it will gain more advanced functions, such as it may have an impact on the job market.
Musk predicts that the production scale of humanoid robots will expand in the next few years, and its cost will be reduced. Around 2025, Optimus Prime's utility will grow year by year.
Musk envisions how humanoid robots function in a home environment rather than a work environment. Host Anderson refers to Optimus Prime as some sort of personal butler, and Musk calls Optimus More like a buddy robot with many useful applications and forms, one of which is Catwoman.
As for the price of Optimus Prime, Musk said: "I don't think the cost is actually going to be ridiculously high, maybe lower than a car." But he didn't say what kind of car it was, but Anderson estimated it at $25,000 .000.
Musk also briefly talked in an interview at the Wall Street Journal CEO Council Summit that they have developed some safety protocols for Tesla's humanoid robots, which also provides a reference for the large-scale application of robots in the future. Musk said: "I think one of the important things is to install a localized ROM chip on the robot that can't be updated wirelessly, and if you say 'stop stop stop,' the robot will stop." ”
