Musk predicts that the production scale of humanoid robots will expand in the next few years, and its cost will be reduced. Around 2025, Optimus Prime's utility will grow year by year.
Musk envisions how humanoid robots function in a home environment rather than a work environment. Host Anderson refers to Optimus Prime as some sort of personal butler, and Musk calls Optimus More like a buddy robot with many useful applications and forms, one of which is Catwoman.
As for the price of Optimus Prime, Musk said: "I don't think the cost is actually going to be ridiculously high, maybe lower than a car." But he didn't say what kind of car it was, but Anderson estimated it at $25,000 .000.
Musk also briefly talked in an interview at the Wall Street Journal CEO Council Summit that they have developed some safety protocols for Tesla's humanoid robots, which also provides a reference for the large-scale application of robots in the future.
