Jakarta, April 20 (Reporter Lin Yongchuan) On the 20th, the Confucius Institute of Araza University in Indonesia and the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia held the 2022 International Chinese Day activity at the university.
Lu Kang, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, Arthur P. Saifuding, President of Alaza University in Indonesia, Fasley, President of Sias University, Cai Changjie, Chairman of the Jakarta Chinese Education Coordination Agency, and Zhou Bin, Counsellor of the Cultural Department of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, attended the event.
Lu Kang's speech reviewed and looked forward to the achievements and prospects of cultural exchanges between China and Indonesia. He expressed his gratitude and congratulations on the efforts and achievements of the Confucius Institute at Araza University in promoting Chinese education in Indonesia, and wished the Confucius Institute better and better.

Fasli, who was the deputy minister of education of Indonesia, reviewed the process of establishing Confucius Institutes in Indonesia and briefly introduced the development of Chinese language teaching in Indonesia since the establishment of Confucius Institutes. Since the establishment of the first Confucius Institute 12 years ago, there have been 8 Confucius Institutes in Indonesia. The Confucius Institute has played an important role in teaching Chinese in Indonesia and in cultural exchanges between China and Indonesia.
Arthur Pu said that in the 12 years since the establishment of the Confucius Institute at Araza University, it has not only assisted the school to improve the quality of Chinese teaching, but also promoted Chinese language teaching to many regions in Indonesia.

Philip, Director of the Confucius Institute at Araza University, introduced the Chinese language teaching and cultural exchanges at the Confucius Institute. He said that the Confucius Institute of Araza University in Indonesia and the Department of Chinese have cooperated to translate Indonesian folk tales into Chinese publish, which will help Chinese people better understand Indonesia and enhance the friendship between the two peoples.
Students from the Confucius Institute at Araza University performed programs with Chinese characteristics, such as chorus, tai chi, guzheng, Peking opera and Modern Chinese dance.
