Emulator files have been leaked for GBA games or will be logged into the NSO game library

Last year, there were rumors that Nintendo planned to introduce Game Boy games to its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service to join its existing NES and SNES game libraries. Now, leaked documents appear to provide evidence that game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games may soon launch the service.

According to Twitter user Rushbandatcoot, "two documents developed by Nintendo for GB/GBA/GBC prepared for Nintendo Switch Online have been leaked on 4Chan." The "Hioyo" file corresponds to the GB/GBC emulator, and the file called "Sloop" corresponds to the GBA emulator. Both were developed by the Nintendo Europe NERD team, the Paris-based subsidiary responsible for much of the company's simulation work in recent years — including emulators from the Classic Mini console and N64/GameCube/Wii games from Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

Twitter users disclosed a list of GBA games for testing. It includes classics such as Pokémon Pinball Table: Ruby Sapphire, Golden Sun, And Legend of Zelda: Shrinking Hat, and more. Of course, not all of these games will necessarily join NSO's game library, but it seems like a matter of time.
