The leak confirmed that Nintendo was developing Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance game work simulators for Nintendo Switch Online.
Leaked documents confirm that Nintendo is developing a GBA emulator code-named "Sloop" and a Game Boy emulator for "Hiyoko." Both Switch Online emulators were developed by Nintendo Europe's NERD (Nintendo Europe Research and Development) team. In recent years, the NERD team has been primarily responsible for most of Paradise's official simulators.
In addition to the files, the leak included several screenshots of the game. These images confirm that the Switch Online service's Game Boy and Game Boy Advanced simulators are almost ready for full market.
Whistleblowers also said that all Game Boy games are considered separate apps. In addition to images and files, there is a video of a Game Boy (Advance) emulator that is supposedly running on a host. However, the account that published it was quickly deleted.
It is important to note that Nintendo has not confirmed or denied the existence or future availability of the Game Boy and Game Boy Advanced emulators on the Switch Online service.
