Using the golden hoop stick, Dayu finally solved the problem of the flooding of the Yellow River, so he named the golden hoop stick "Dinghai Shenzhen".
The meaning of "Dinghai" is misunderstood by many people, thinking that it is the meaning of stabilizing the sea, however, since Dayu is using a golden hoop stick to control the flooding of the Yellow River, how can he name the golden hoop stick with the meaning of stabilizing the sea? Dinghai should mean "determine the depth of the sea", and "Dinghai Shenzhen" is the treasure of "determining the depth of the sea".
The third master was the Dragon King of the East Sea. After Dayu solved the flood of the Yellow River, the golden hoop stick lost its value to him, and it was not very convenient to carry it around, perhaps the East Sea Dragon King helped him a lot when curing the water, out of gratitude, so he gave the golden hoop stick to the East Sea Dragon King. The Dragon King placed him as an ornament in the Dragon Palace.
