At 33 years old, with my luggage from a business trip, I was admitted to the cancer ward!

(In July 2019, Judy celebrated her 33rd birthday while on a business trip to Vietnam.) )

For Judy, 2019 was the hardest year of her life, when she was 33 years old and diagnosed with breast cancer.

She is the kind of girl who is often envied for her hard work and excellence. He studied at Peking University with a bachelor's degree and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a master's degree. After returning to China and working hard in the workplace, he became the co-founder and COO of the brand integrated marketing company.

She frequently travels between Beijing and Shanghai, busy with company meetings and big and small affairs every day; she has a clear plan for her future life, however, the illness suddenly comes...

According to the data of the 2019 National Cancer Report, there are about 304,000 new cases of breast cancer in women nationwide every year, ranking first in the incidence of malignant tumors in women, and the incidence population shows a significant trend of rejuvenation.

On September 17, 2019, Zhu Didi walked into the Breast Department Outpatient Clinic of Peking Union Medical College Hospital for the first time.

A month ago, she had touched a small lump on her chest that tingled a little from time to time. She vaguely felt that something was not quite right, was it mastitis, breast nodules?

When the hospital was waiting for treatment, Judiddi saw someone covering his mouth and crying, his eyes were red, and he staggered out of the clinic. Unexpectedly, a few minutes later, the doctor prescribed her a molybdenum target checklist, and Judy "giggled" in her heart. She knew it was a screening for patients with suspected breast cancer.

Checking back, the doctor dropped a few brief words:

"Basically, the diagnosis is confirmed."

"What was diagnosed?"

"Cancer."

Judy's brain went blank for an instant.

After a few seconds, reason quickly recovered. Judiddi told the doctor at the first time that he had purchased commercial medical insurance and wanted to try to treat it as soon as possible. By the time she walked out of the office, her conversation with the doctor had not lasted more than fifteen minutes.

On the taxi home, Judy began to slowly digest this sudden change. She began to consult with friends in the medical circle and the families of patients around her, informing the partners of the company that she wanted to "suspend work and solve the trouble", and asked the assistant to cancel all travel trips for the next few days. She had planned to go to Shanghai that night for business.

On Tuesday afternoon, the traffic was stuck on the edge of the third ring road, and Judiddi felt that the outside world had finally slowed down...

Judy did not inform her parents of her condition at the first time, she did not know how to open her mouth.

That night, it was her husband who struggled to explain the situation to her parents. Her father then called back and comforted her for a while, and no one was too emotional on the phone.

Judy left home at the age of 12, lived in school, lived independently, rarely coddled with her parents, did not cry much, and many things were decided by herself.

She asked the doctor for the fastest treatment plan, and it worked.

The next morning, Judy took the same size luggage as her usual business trip and was admitted to the cancer ward.

The moment she changed into her hospital gown, she completely accepted the fact that she was "sick".

Immediate surgery on the third day.

It was more like a verdict of fate. Too much uncertainty, to get the result through the operation test: she is still holding a fluke mentality, will there be hope of reversal? Is there cancerous metastasis in sentinel lymph? If it is metastasized, do you need to do total incision surgery...

The surgery went smoothly and the result was that the cancer cells did not spread and metastasize. Judy also completed breast-conserving surgery in one go.

When she learned the result, she finally cried out loudly without any scruples. She said it was "reassuring" crying.

Judiddi later learned that her parents, who had not had time to rush to Beijing, were also crying at home.

After the operation, with bandages wrapped around her body, Judiddi had to lie in bed for two weeks to recover from her injuries. This is one of the most painful parts of the whole cancer process for her.

She has always been a strong mobile person, from studying to working, all the way, life has never pressed the pause button. After starting a business, I plunged into work and ran all the way.

This sudden kick "brakes" she was not very comfortable with, and anxiety accompanied her.

According to a questionnaire survey, 97.5% of breast cancer surgery patients are worried. Judy knows it.

Accepting the fact of being sick does not mean accepting everything. Before waiting for the specific pathological results to come out, there are many uncertainties, and different results correspond to very different plans and changes in the future, which makes it impossible to sort out.

At the end of October, Judiddi noticed that some noticeable changes began to appear in her body.

She often wakes up in the middle of the night and can't sleep, her whole body will always be inexplicably weak; she wants to try to grasp something, but it is all "powerless"; she wants to cry loudly, but she can't feel sad.

Unintended emotional release and uncontrollable respiratory crises are often accompanied. Once, when she felt so desperate that her mother called an ambulance, she ended up walking out with the nurse. She even bought an oxygen machine to keep at home, even though her body's symptoms were not caused by lack of oxygen.

It wasn't until she saw the Clinical Psychology Department that Judy didn't know she was in a state of intense anxiety. After combined with drug treatment, it gradually improves.

Later, in her own sharing, Judiddi often stressed that psychotherapy needs to be used as an auxiliary means in the recovery process of cancer patients.

Pathological results came out, Judy was an early three-positive breast cancer. This means that she needs to undergo a variety of treatments at different stages.

After the anxiety, Judy, who did not accept defeat, named her anti-cancer process: breast cancer female warrior. Her husband and parents are her closest comrades-in-arms.

After chemotherapy, the body needs to replenish a lot of nutrients and energy to maintain white blood cell levels. Her weight began to grow at a uniform rate every week. Drugs that control estrogen also make her grow a lot of acne.

In December, during the harsh winter in Beijing, the branches were bare by the wind, and Judiddi's hair began to fall heavily. After 15 days of chemotherapy, I woke up, and the hair that fell out and the remaining hair were entangled and could not be pulled down.

Shaving the head is the husband's hand.

In order to take care of her emotions, her husband joked: "Is Tony Zhang's technique good?" ”

Colleagues and friends also ridiculed her as "Shi Tai".

Those tentative jokes are actually full of warmth.

Given the "priority," Judiddi is optimistic about these facts. "If your hair falls off, you can grow it again, and when you're fat, you can buy new clothes." I'm more worried about dangerous situations like complications during chemotherapy than about that. ”

(Juddy prepared a wig for herself, and after taking it to the office, colleagues often tried it on.) )

The anti-cancer process activates another life plan: children.

Judidie married her husband in 2011, the two are busy with their careers, and raising the next generation has not yet been scheduled, but the intrusion of cancer cells has changed their minds.

"Illness is a great opportunity to test the relationship between family members."

In her opinion, cancer did not alienate her relationship with her husband, on the contrary, they seemed to team up to fight monsters and fight diseases, so they were closer together.

(In the evening, mr. Judy waited for Juddy to come home, and on the wall hung a wedding photo of the two of them, and the card on the table read: "The paper is limited, I wish infinity.") )

At the end of 2019, before receiving chemotherapy and long-term endocrine drug treatment, Judy and Mr. Judy did enough research and went abroad to freeze healthy embryos.

This half year is also the longest period of time she spent with her mother after she grew up and left home. When you go to the hospital, you are like a comrade-in-arms, when you smell beautiful together, you are like a girlfriend, when you study cooking, you are like a master and apprentice...

"I no longer just leave her with a fading back, but I can also stand behind her from time to time and catch some charming moments that are not defeated by life." 」

The pandemic has made cancer patients who should have gone out less often. It was also because of the epidemic that Judy's chemotherapy process was interrupted. Transfer, consultation, cessation of chemotherapy, switch to radiotherapy and dual-target drug therapy.

During this period, many friends successively knew that she was sick, and sent a large paragraph of content through the Internet: "Whether it is a confession or a concern, I am still quite moved." "When I used to be busy at work, we didn't have so much communication. ”

She began to consciously record her life, write circles of friends, run public accounts, send microblogs, in addition to sharing her own experience, she will also communicate with patients and help them solve some doubts.

After May Day this year, Judiddi returned to normal work. Except for the fact that she usually wears a hat and swallows a huge handful of pills every morning, she hardly looks like a patient.

On October 13, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:50 p.m., Judy di repeatedly changed five spaces in the office area and held six consecutive online and offline meetings.

As the company's COO, busyness is the norm.

But life priorities have changed: eat well, set aside time for exercise every day, and go to bed at regular intervals every day.

Now, she does targeted therapy once a month and takes endocrine suppressant drugs every day. If all goes well, she can finish her treatment by early next year.

(Judy wasn't a sports girl before she got sick, and now she's riding a spinning bike for 1 hour a day.) )

If everyone began to subtract from their lives because of some encounters, then this disease made Judy's life "clear".

"Stop the original rhythm and give yourself the opportunity to re-examine the people and things around you, what is not important and what can be put down." I used to be too busy and spend too much energy on caring for external things, "During this time, in addition to taking care of my body, I was also taking care of my psychology." ”

In doing these subtractions, Judiddi felt that her heart had become lighter and stronger.

She said: "Everyone has the most difficult year in life, but after surviving, life will become beautiful and vast." ”
