Debut of newly discovered artifacts

The reporter saw in the restoration room of the art museum that a nearly 6-meter-long Qing Dynasty gold warp was being "repaired". Liu Yuanyang, an associate researcher at the museum, held tweezers and took apart the threads of the long banner sticking and knotting little by little. "After restoration, this prayer flag will be exhibited at the Tenno-den as a witness to the history of Manju-ji Temple." According to Wang Dan, it is speculated that it was hung in the main hall or hung on the prayer pillar during the royal celebration. After reopening, the Tennodo Hall will showcase the history and culture of Manju-ji Temple, and "the cultural relics found in the renovation will be unveiled in the exhibition hall, combined with multimedia video materials, etc., to tell the audience their stories." ”

The 22 Buddha statues on display in the original form in the Daxiong Treasure Hall have completed a comprehensive "physical examination". After dust removal treatment and detection of diseases, the restorer is repairing the cracks on the surface of the statue to varying degrees, and then it needs to be painted with color and sealed. At the same time, the East and West Side Halls of the Daxiong Treasure Hall will serve as an art exhibition hall for The Collection of Buddha Statues, displaying 74 Chinese and Tibetan Buddha statues from past dynasties.
