Recently, the second meeting of the Eighth Presidium of the Chinese Calligraphers Association deliberated and adopted the "Detailed Rules for the Conditions for Individual Membership of the Chinese Calligraphers Association", which stipulates the following:
Citizens of the People's Republic of China who have reached the age of 18 and who support the Constitution of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, abide by the Code of Conduct for Chinese Calligraphers, and meet the conditions for membership may apply to join the Chinese Calligraphers Association (hereinafter referred to as the "China Calligraphers Association").
Applicants who meet one of the following five categories of conditions can declare membership in the corresponding category and cannot declare across categories.
One
Filing conditions
(1) Calligraphy creation
Have a high level of creativity and meet one of the following conditions:
1. The "National Exhibition" sponsored by the China Book Association (the Xth National Exhibition of Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Works) was exhibited once.
2. The "National Special Exhibition" sponsored by the China Book Association (National Single Calligraphy Exhibition, Chinese Book Newcomer Exhibition, National Women's Exhibition, National Youth Exhibition, National YangLian Exhibition, National Fan Exhibition, National Album Exhibition, National Big Character Exhibition, Western Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Exhibition, etc.) was exhibited for the second time.
3. The "National Exhibition" with the participation of the China Book Association and the participation of the "National Exhibition" that meets the conditions for membership has obtained the required ranking for the second time. The provisions of the call for papers shall prevail.
4. The exhibition of students' teaching achievements held by the Calligraphy Training Center of the China Book Association has obtained the prescribed rank once (before 2010 is the award), which can be used as a condition for joining the association, and must also obtain the prescribed rank once in the "National Special Exhibition" or "National Exhibition" to have the qualification for membership application. The above related exhibitions shall be subject to the provisions of the call for papers.
5. In order to reflect the care for the elderly calligraphy creation group, the works submitted by authors aged 65 or above can obtain the specified rank of "National Special Exhibition" or "National Exhibition" once. The provisions of the call for papers shall prevail.
(2) Calligraphy theory
Have a high degree of achievement in theoretical research and meet one of the following conditions:
1. The paper of the "National Book Science Symposium" sponsored by the China Book Association was selected once.
2. The papers of the symposium on special books sponsored by the China Book Association were selected for the second time.
3. Engaged in calligraphy theory research for a long time, in the humanities and social sciences academic journals recognized by the China Book Association, calligraphy professional newspapers and periodicals (such as "Chinese Calligraphy", "Calligraphy", "Calligraphy Series", "China Calligraphy Newspaper", "Calligraphy Herald", "Calligraphy Newspaper", etc.), published more than three papers with high academic level and influence, each word count is not less than 5,000 words, in line with academic norms, and must be evaluated by the theoretical expert group organized by the China Book Association. Co-authors of papers, only the first authors can apply.
4. There is an academic monograph on calligraphy published by a national regular publishing unit, which should be recommended and evaluated by the academic members of the China Book Association and put forward clear opinions, and must be identified by the theoretical expert group organized by the China Book Association. Co-authors, only the first author declaration.
(3) Calligraphy education
Engaged in calligraphy education, have significant achievements or outstanding contributions, and meet the following conditions:
1. Calligraphy creation or calligraphy theory has one admission condition.
2. Engaged in calligraphy education in colleges and universities, primary and secondary schools and part-time educational institutions for more than 15 years (inclusive), with professional titles of education, literature and art, group art or above.
(4) Calligraphy news and publications
Engaged in calligraphy editing and publishing, professional media work, with significant achievements or outstanding contributions, and meet the following conditions:
2. Have been working as an editor or full-time reporter for more than 15 years (inclusive) in professional calligraphy newspapers, periodicals and publishing houses at or above the provincial level or above or on the calligraphy websites of group members of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and have professional titles of deputy senior or above in the press and publication category.
(5) Calligraphy organization
Engaged in calligraphy organization work, with significant achievements or outstanding contributions, still on the job at the time of application, meet one of the following conditions:
1. The deputy secretary-general (resident) or above of the group members of each province, autonomous region and municipality directly under the Central Government, and engaged in organizational work for more than 5 years (inclusive).
2. Members of the China Book Association and the group have been engaged in calligraphy organization for more than 10 years (inclusive).
Two
Declaration materials
(1) Applicants for calligraphy creation should submit the following materials
1. "Application Form for Membership of Chinese Calligraphers Association" (hand-filled), which can be downloaded from the small editor of the calligraphy call for papers.
2. Copy of ID card.
3. A copy of the award (exhibition, selection) certificate that meets the conditions for membership.
4. A calligraphy work that reflects the level of personal calligraphy creation (the content is not limited, and the size is limited to four feet of the whole sheet). The works are used for membership approval and review, and are stored in the personal membership file.
(2) Applicants for calligraphy theory should submit the following materials
1. Application Form for Membership of The Chinese Calligraphers Association (hand-filled).
3. Those who meet the requirements for joining the Book Symposium must submit a copy of the corresponding selection certificate; those who meet the requirements for the declaration of papers must submit copies of 3 published representative papers and journal catalog pages (each page is signed), and submit a list of other academic research papers and copies of major papers; if they meet the conditions for monograph declaration, they must submit the original published monographs and the recommendation letter of the academic members of the China Book Association, and at the same time submit a list of relevant academic research results and copies of the main achievements.
4. A calligraphy work that reflects the level of personal calligraphy creation (the content is not limited, and the size is limited to four feet of the whole sheet). The works are used for membership approval reference and stored in personal membership files.
(3) Applicants for calligraphy education should submit the following materials
3. Corresponding certificate of calligraphy creation or calligraphy theory entry experience (selection) with one admission condition.
4. Relevant materials issued by colleges and universities, primary and secondary schools and part-time educational institutions where the applicant works can prove that the applicant has been engaged in calligraphy education for 15 years (including but not limited to employment notices, employment notices, personnel materials, teaching achievements, etc.), and the certification materials issued at the moment cannot be used).
5. Copies of professional titles of education, literature and art, and group art.
6. The applicant's curriculum of the past five years (class hours table, workload table, etc.), with the official seal of the school.
7. A calligraphy work that reflects the level of personal calligraphy creation (the content is not limited, and the size is limited to within four feet of the whole sheet). The works are used for membership approval reference and stored in personal membership files.
(4) Applicants for calligraphy, press and publication shall submit the following materials
1. Application Form for Membership of Chinese Calligraphers Association (hand-filled)
4. Relevant materials issued by professional calligraphy newspapers and periodicals at or above the provincial level, publishing houses or calligraphy websites of group members of various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government that can prove that the applicant has been engaged in editing work or full-time journalist work for 15 years (including but not limited to employment notices, employment notices, personnel materials, business achievements, etc.), and the certification materials issued at the moment cannot be used.
5. A copy of the professional title certificate of the deputy senior or above in the press and publication category.
6. A calligraphy work that reflects the level of personal calligraphy creation (the content is not limited, and the size is limited to within four feet of the whole sheet). The works are used for membership approval reference and stored in personal membership files.
(5) Applicants for calligraphy organizations should submit the following materials

Proof of the corresponding years of years issued by the applicant's unit that can prove that the applicant's work in the unit meets the requirements for membership (including but not limited to job notices, employment notices, personnel materials, etc., and the certification materials issued at the moment cannot be used).
4. Proof of the applicant's own employment issued by the applicant's unit.
Three
Filing methods
1. In principle, the development of individual members is carried out once a year, and the declaration time is subject to the specific notice of the China Book Association.
2. The declaration materials shall be submitted by the members of all groups of the China Book Association, and the China Book Association will not accept direct declarations from individual members. Individual members submit declaration materials to their group members, and the group members review and summarize all the declaration materials in this province, and then submit them to the China Book Association in a centralized manner.
3. After receiving the new member declaration notice of the China Book Association in that year, the group members shall strictly review and check each item in accordance with the provisions of these Detailed Rules, and those who do not meet the requirements shall not be submitted.
4. Before the members of the group collect and report the materials to the China Book Association, they must make a public announcement on their official website (or the official website of the province, autonomous region and industry federation to which the group belongs), and the content of the publicity includes the name of the declarant, the type of declaration, the declaration conditions (which must be specific to the name of the exhibition, the topic of the paper and the monograph, etc.), and the publicity period is not less than 7 days. After the end of the publicity, the group members will issue an explanation of the results of the publicity and report it to the China Book Association together with the declaration materials.
5. The declarant of the military system shall report to the China Book Association after examination and approval by the special agency of the army.
6. The declarants of petroleum, finance, railway, electric power, coal mines, employees and public security systems shall declare to the China Book Association through the book associations of each subordinate industry in accordance with the procedures.
7. The applicants of the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions shall be recommended to the China Book Association by the Central Liaison Office of the People's Republic of China in the Special Administrative Regions.
8. The declarant in Taiwan shall declare to the foreign liaison department of the China Book Association in accordance with the procedures. After approval by the higher-level organ, the China Book Association accepts the application materials.
Four
Declare discipline
1. The declarant must make a truthful declaration, such as deliberately filling in false information, canceling the qualification for the current declaration; forging the declaration materials, canceling the qualification for the declaration, notifying the members of the group (including the troops) of the declarant for the record, and publicizing it in the calligraphy call for papers, and if the declaration conditions are met in the future, it needs to be postponed for three years, and the fourth year can be re-declared.
2. Whoever pretends to be a member of the China Book Association to hold exhibitions, publish books, carry out news publicity and other activities, causing a bad impact on the society, once discovered, he or she shall not declare for life, and publish the relevant information on the official website of the China Book Association.
Five
Approval procedures
After the member examination and approval is reviewed by the preliminary review, the expert committee review, the review committee review, the spot check interview, the approval of the secretary-general's office, the publicity and other procedures, it is published in the calligraphy draft.
Six
Supplementary Provisions
1. According to the relevant regulations of the China Federation of Literary and Literary Associations, the membership development work shall be organized and implemented by the Secretary-General's Office of the China Book Association in accordance with these rules.
2. The right to interpret these Detailed Rules belongs to the China Book Association.
3. These Detailed Rules shall come into force on the date of deliberation and adoption by the Presidium of the China Book Association.
