What does Jeep look like at Easter Jeep Safari?

At its home this year, Jeep will launch five concept cars in one go, three of which are all electric or PHEV models. In addition, Mopar's JPP performance components team also brought two new concept cars

In 1967, the Moab Chamber of Commerce in Moab, Utah, USA, launched the Easter Jeep Safari Off-Road Conference. For more than five decades, the off-road conference has attracted more and more Jeep fans, from the original day to the current nine days, and the event has evolved from a pilgrimage trip for off-road enthusiasts around the world to a home event for Jeep to showcase the future direction of the brand.

This year's Easter Jeep Safari off-road conference will take place from April 9 to 17, and Jeep will use a series of concept cars equipped with advanced powertrains to implement the vision of "zero-emission free travel".

Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0 concept car

About a year ago, Jeep showed off the Jeep Wrangler Magneto concept car. At this year's Easter Jeep Safari off-road conference, its 2.0 upgrade arrived.

The concept car's wheelbase was increased by 12 inches (30.5 cm) over the Wrangler's two-door version to accommodate the powertrain and gave it harmonious body proportions. It also comes with a custom 3-inch (7.6 cm) lift kit and 20-inch wheels paired with 40-inch off-road tires.

The chassis consisted of the Dynatrac 60 Pro-Rock front axle and the Pro-Rock Dynatrac 80 large rear axle, both front and rear speed ratios of 5.38 and a locking device. The surf blue body, carbon fiber B-pillar and bonnet, the unique roof all make its appearance unique, and the bonnet also has blue transparent glass to give people a glimpse of the power system underneath.

Magneto 2.0 has a powertrain that combines a 6-speed manual transmission with pure electric drive, and four battery packs with a total capacity of 70 kWh make the front and rear counterweights more balanced. The electric drive system uses a voltage of 800 volts and a peak current of up to 600 amps, making the maximum torque of the car exceed 1150 Nm, more than three times that of the previous one, and the output power can also reach 625 horsepower. In addition, with the newly developed electric assembly calibration system, the peak current can be maintained for up to 10 seconds, allowing the concept car to accelerate from stationary to 60 miles (96 kilometers) per hour in less than 2 seconds.

The first gear ratio of the manual transmission was adjusted from the previous 5.13 to 3.36, while the Rock-Trac transfer case of the same Wrangler Rubicon gave the Magneto 2.0 concept the outstanding rock climbing ability and enabled instantaneous on-demand distribution of torque. The strong kinetic energy recovery mode allows the driver to experience true "single pedal" driving.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk PHEV concept car

Not long ago, Jeep launched the first 4xe electrified model in the history of the Grand Cherokee model, with fuel consumption of only 4.2 liters per 100 kilometers and a pure electric range of 40.2 kilometers. The Easter Jeep Safari Off-Road Conference provided the design team with an opportunity to build on the Grand Cherokee 4xe and further demonstrate their strength.

What does Jeep look like at Easter Jeep Safari?

It features custom industrial blue body paint and is paired with a 4xe lake blue tow hook and anti-glare black blue matte Trailhawk engine cover sticker. The car's off-road style is enhanced by a custom roof rack with a fastening device, a black-painted Rhino Liner roof design designed for durability, four sets of projected LED fog lights with custom bezels, and a custom vinyl side pattern design that is scratch resistant. A saddle brown seat with a "Rodney" chidori check insert is featured in the cab with a 4xe Trailhawk logo and surf blue stitching.

The Trailhawk 4xe will be the most powerful four-wheel drive performance yet the environmentally friendly Grand Cherokee model: it will be equipped with two electric motors, a 400-volt battery pack, a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.

The car also boasts its class-only Jeep Quadra-Lift four-wheel independent air suspension, while a more unique anti-roll bar disconnect system helps improve wheel adhesion on rocky or rough terrain. In addition to the standard 20-inch neutral gray painted metal matte wheels and 33-inch Troot mud tires, it also offers a variety of wheel and tire options.

Jeep '41 concept car

At this edition of the Easter Jeep Safari off-road conference, there's a concept car that combines retro Willis style with Wrangler 4xe electrification, and that's the '41 Concept.

Its exterior, which includes wheel arches and mirror covers, is finished in D.R.A.B. '41 matte olive green finish with a black powder-coated steel bumper, Warn winch and JPP bumper hoop. Vintage-inspired decorative panel covers, JPP half doors, Jeep Graphic Studio's custom-designed template graphics bag and eye-catching color hooks are all unique features of this car.

The car's cab interior features a vintage-inspired shift lever with a gear lever cover custom designed by Jeep Graphic Studio. The canvas seats are decorated with digital camouflage inserts and Serafil 1043 stitching. The heavy texture of D.R.A.B. '41 matte green Rhino flooring is sturdy and durable. The dashboard with the Willis vintage motif is also painted D.R.A.B. '41 matte green.

The '41 Concept car uses the same power system as the Wrangler 4xe, which can achieve a fuel consumption of 4.8 liters per 100 kilometers and a pure electric range of about 34 kilometers.

Jeep Rubicon 20th Anniversary Concept Car

When the Wrangler Rubicon was born 20 years ago, it was Jeep's most rugged off-road production model. To commemorate the birth of this model, Jeep brought the Jeep Rubicon 20th anniversary concept car to the Easter Jeep Safari off-road conference.

Based on the Wrangler Rubicon 392, the car is equipped with a 6.4-litre V8 engine and customized exterior and interior components, including an active dual-mode exhaust, a bonnet with a central intake, a custom half-door and a Sky One-touch electric convertible.

The concept also added a JPP 2-inch (5.1 cm) lift kit, a 17-inch Momar anti-disengage wheel with 37-inch mud tires, steel bumpers and bumper hoops with Warn winch, and steel engine carriers to better adapt to harsh off-road conditions.

Jeep Bob concept car

The Jeep Bob is a concept car that combines the characteristics of both Wrangler and Gladiator models, based on the Gladicon and implemented the design concept of "simplifying complexity".

All doors and B-pillars of the car were removed, redefining the concept of convertible freedom. Its custom hard top features a perforated design and is covered in canvas. The cargo compartment was shortened by 1 foot (30.5 cm) and, together with custom steel front and rear bumpers, improved the car's approach and departure angles. The 3-inch (7.6 cm) lift kit with dynatrac ProRock 60 axle and oversized 40-inch tires mounted on a 20-inch anti-shedding hub make the car's off-road capabilities more powerful than ever.

The Bob Concept is equipped with a 3-litre Eco-Diesel V6 turbo diesel engine, while the TorqueFlite 8HP75 8-speed automatic transmission delivers the engine's powerful torque. The Mopar cold air intakes are beneficial to further increase torque and improve fuel economy.

Jeep D-Coder concept car

The concept car is also based on gladiators and was developed by Momar's JPP Performance Components team. It's painted in glossy black and is paired with over 35 cherry-red JPP and Momar accessories for a visual impact.

The JPP snorkel, mounted on its front passenger side, prevents water from seeping into the 3.6-litre Pentastar engine when the vehicle wads through water. The JPP front windshield is made of diamond glass, which is three times stronger than the ordinary windshield. A pair of 5-inch TYRI LED lamps are firmly attached to the JPP A-post mounting brackets on either side of the front circumference area.

Heavy-duty steel JPP stone-resistant baffles are located directly below the JPP tubular doors on both sides to protect the lower part of the body. In addition, it is equipped with a stone-resistant baffle to protect the cargo compartment behind the rear wheels, and a replaceable nylon baffle cover is used. The Mopar handles help occupants get in and out of the elevated cockpit with ease, while the Mopar mesh awning provides a pleasant driving experience.

The cockpit of the Gladiator D-Coder Concept is also cherry red contrasting, and both rows of seats are wrapped in Katzkin leather. A variety of Momar accessories are also available in the cockpit, including four sill guards, stainless steel pedal covers and all-weather foot pads. The interior of the cargo compartment is coated with a Mobile protective coating, while a low-lying THUL BASKET provides additional storage space.

Jeep Birdcage concept car

The Wrangler 4xe Birdcage Concept is equipped with a variety of custom accessories developed by JPP and Mompar, and its JPP 2-inch (5.1 cm) lift kit with FOX shocks is designed and tuned for this plug-in hybrid model, which is also painted with eagle brown granite crystal metal paint and features the unique surf blue elements of the Jeep 4xe model.

The car's Add-A-Trunk concept luggage compartment cover is designed by Momar to protect the contents of the luggage compartment when the convertible is opened. There are also 8 fixed rope loops and 5 hooks for the glove compartment. The 600-pound (272-kilogram) Rhino-Rack basket is mounted on top of the roll cage, creating additional storage space.

other

In addition, three other concept cars designed by JPP also made their debut at the Easter Jeep Safari off-road conference: the Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid was fitted with a series of factory parts derived from JPP; the Jeep Wrangler Overlook Concept was extended based on a four-door version of the Wrangler Sahara model, which had three rows of seats and added many luxury features. The daunting Kaiser Jeep M725 concept car was born from a 1967 vintage Kaiser Jeep M725 military ambulance, which is the ultimate off-road beast.
