On April 6, the transfer group released the "2022 first quarter mobile phone market report" (hereinafter referred to as the "report"), the data shows that the trading volume of xiaomi OV and glory brands in the second-hand mobile phone market has increased, of which xiaomi once again won the second-hand domestic mobile phone sales champion brand, accounting for 15.5%; vivo and Huawei ranked second and third with 13.01% and 12.54% of the transaction ratio, respectively. Although Apple's iPhone continues to hold the first place in the second-hand market, the transaction volume has declined slightly compared with the previous quarter.
In terms of price trends, Apple's iPhone in the second-hand market and hot domestic main models are generally reduced in price; but due to market supply and other factors, the Cangling green color matching model of the iPhone13 series, Huawei's Mate40 series and the glory folding screen have increased in the second-hand market.
The report shows that 9 of the total list of mobile phone trading volume in the Q1 second-hand market are iPhones. Among them, the iPhone11, iPhone XR and iPhone12 dominate the top three, and the iPhone12 is also the only 5G mobile phone to enter the overall list.
While the new machine market hits the high-end, the transaction volume of domestic mobile phones in the Q1 second-hand market is also growing steadily, and Xiaomi (including Redmi) has won the top brand in the second-hand domestic mobile phone market for four consecutive quarters, followed by vivo, Huawei, OPPO and Glory.
The report shows that among the top 10 cities in Q1 second-hand mobile phone purchases, residents of first-tier, new first-tier and second-tier cities are keen to buy, in addition to iPhone12 and iPhone11, they also particularly favor high-end domestic flagships such as Xiaomi 11, Xiaomi 11 Ultra and Huawei Mate 40 (5G). Among them, the Xiaomi Mi 11 has become a hot model for apple iPhone 12 in many cities.
In this regard, analysts from the data department of the transfer group said that the consumption of the second-hand market is diversified and differentiated, and the heat of the high-end 5G models and entry-level 4G models is very high; compared with the price of the new machine, the cost performance of the high-end flagship models in the second-hand market is more prominent, coupled with the performance services provided by the platform such as quality inspection, quality assurance and after-sales service can significantly improve the trust of the transaction, and also drive the gradual release of the consumer demand for second-hand high-end mobile phones.
Judging from the retention rate of the main models in the second-hand market, the report shows that the Huawei Mate 40 (5G) retention rate has ranked first in the release of the first year and a half, with a value of up to 88.38% exceeding the entire iPhone13 series, which is still the best "wealth management product"; the four models of the iPhone13 series are close behind, and the iPhone13 Pro has become the smallest model in the series with a retention rate of 85.24%.
For the current popular folding screen mobile phone, the report shows that the retention rate of the folding screen mobile phone in the second-hand market is generally not high, but the retention rate of the honor MagicV is still as high as 104% as of the end of March, which is the only premium folding screen mobile phone in the second-hand market; in addition, the OPPO Find N new machine was called a cost-effective folding screen at the beginning of the release, and the current retention rate of 93.23% in the second-hand market also confirms its strength; with the entry into April vivo X Fold debuts, Major brands will also launch new products, and the battle for folding screen mobile phones in 2022 will also become white-hot, and the price is expected to continue to decline.
