Recently, according to overseas media (MB Passion), the new generation of GLC may be officially released on June 1, and it is likely to be the first to be listed in Europe in September. In the future, the new generation of GLC will also launch an AMG version. Also announced is the rear wheel steering with a maximum steering angle of 4.5 degrees, which will significantly shorten the turning radius of the new GLC.
In terms of appearance, although the new GLC still covers the focus camouflage, it is still clear that its appearance draws on a large number of the latest family designs, whether it is a convex mid-mesh or a narrow headlamp. The C-class shadow can be easily seen from the taillights. Similarly, the interior is designed very similar to the C-class. The independent LCD dashboard and the vertical central control screen seem to be copied and pasted from the C level. The occluded parts include the air conditioning outlet and part of the center console, and presumably Mercedes-Benz designers will separate the interior of the new GLC from the C-class in these parts.
In the power section, the new GRC will feature a four-cylinder turbocharged engine and will come standard with a 48V light hybrid system, and a plug-in hybrid version will be introduced later. The high-performance AMG model is expected to replicate the plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 2.0T engine and electric motor on the upcoming AMG C 63, and its maximum power may exceed 447 kW (600 hp). Unlike only four-cylinder turbocharged engines, GLC will still offer models with six-cylinder engines, with a maximum power of more than 300 horsepower, but it is unlikely that they will not be introduced to China.
