Professor Zou Xiaobing, the discipline leader of the Child Development and Behavior Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, pointed out that if children's autism can be detected early and scientifically intervened, the prognosis effect is quite considerable, and some mild autistic patients can even live independently. However, there are still some people with more severe autism who need to be cared for and supported for life.

According to the introduction, the importance of early diagnosis of autism, the importance of early intervention, and the development of specific interventions for young children have led to the emergence of a large number of similar, evidence-based autism interventions that represent the integration of applied behavioral science and developmental science.

"Over the next 10 years, the prognosis for autism in children will improve significantly." Zou Xiaobing said that although there is no breakthrough in the current treatment of autism in biological treatment, there has been significant progress in psychosocial intervention. With the increase of social and national attention to autistic people, the ecosystem of autistic people will be gradually improved in the future.

At present, the most suitable intervention for mainland conditions is the Natural Developmental Behavioural Intervention (NDBI), which refers to the implementation of the natural environment, the child and the therapist enjoy joint decision-making power, the use of natural emergencies, the use of a variety of behavioral strategies to help children with autism develop appropriate and necessary survival skills.

Zou Xiaobing said that in the practice of behavioral intervention based on natural development, children usually carry out various activities in a natural and interactive social environment, and the intervention is implemented in games and daily life, and the teaching strategy is led by children. This intervention concept and measure not only reduces communication and social behavioural difficulties for children with autism, but also has a positive impact on the well-being and quality of life of people with autism and their caregivers.

Over the years, the team of the Center for Child Development and Behavior of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University has continued to explore the intervention model of natural development behavior, and pioneered the BSR model, which takes social interaction as the basic content, behavioral therapy (ABA) as the basic means, and structured education as the basic framework. Zou Xiaobing revealed that the team has designed a set of AI laboratories for diagnosing autistic behavior, with an automatic diagnosis accuracy rate of more than 90%, and is currently starting to industrialization of financing.

Zou Xiaobing stressed that the intervention should take the cultivation of the social ability of autistic children as the core, supplemented by the emotional and behavioral regulation of autistic children; emphasize family intervention as the mainstay, supplemented by institutional intervention; emphasize the personalized intervention of each autistic child, rather than identity intervention; but also emphasize social intervention to establish a sound social ecosystem for autistic children.

Zou Xiaobing's "focus on cultivating the social skills of autistic children" refers to the cultivation of children's social skills and family intervention models, which hope that parents and teachers can become the soul of behavioral intervention, integrate intervention training into every moment of children's daily lives, and let children be in high-intensity, high-intensity learning and training at all times. The educational level of parents does not affect their learning and use of intervention methods for children with autism.

On the same day, 14 experts from the Child Development and Behavior Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University conducted online free consultations in its Internet hospital to facilitate free consultation for parents of children with autism. In addition, CSR Global Network released the theme activities of world autism awareness day, including "Proud" and "My School and Me" photo collection, Guangzhou "Light Up Blue Light" activity.
