Jiao Yun, director of the Child Rehabilitation Center, vice chairman of the Child Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Hainan Rehabilitation Medicine Association, and provincial teacher of rehabilitation talent training in the National Disabled Persons' Federation system. He has been engaged in pediatric clinical, teaching and scientific research. He has accumulated rich clinical knowledge of pediatrics and is familiar with the laws of normal children's growth and development. He is good at the diagnosis and treatment of children's motor development abnormalities and developmental behavioral disorders (mental retardation, autism, ADHD, etc.), and has rich clinical experience in the developmental monitoring and early intervention of high-risk children such as apnea, preterm birth, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and so on.
The Department of Children's Rehabilitation of Hainan Children's Hospital was opened on October 8, 2013 and consists of developmental behavior and neurorehabilitation. The center is committed to the clinical and scientific research work in the fields of developmental behavior and neurodevelopmental specialty, and has carried out a series of diagnosis and rehabilitation treatment of autism spectrum disorder, intelligent developmental delay, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning difficulties, emotional and behavioral disorders and cerebral palsy. Based on the island, the center has made fruitful work in the rehabilitation education of disabled children in Hainan, which has been recognized by the society and praised by patients. In March 2014, the All-China Women's Federation and the China Women's Development Foundation awarded Hainan Children's Hospital the "National Demonstration Base for Early Diagnosis and Intervention of Autistic Children with Autism In Family Care Action". In 2015, the Children's Rehabilitation Center was awarded the title of "Civilized Post" by the Hainan Provincial Women's Federation; at the same time, it is also the designated "Designated Institution for the Rehabilitation Project for Children with Rescue Autism, Mental Retardation and Cerebral Palsy in Hainan Province" designated by the Hainan Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation, and is also the chairman unit of the Child Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Hainan Rehabilitation Medical Association.

Autism it is also called "autism", the American mental disorder classification DSM-V this type of mental development disorders are called "autism spectrum disorder", it is a type of social communication disorders, speech and non-verbal disorders, as well as stereotyped strange behavior as a type of mental illness, previously we also called it generalized developmental disorders.
What are the manifestations of children with autism?
Children with autism have mild and heavy manifestations, so we call it "spectrum disorder," but they all have several core disorders.
The first is social communication disorder, lack of social interest, specifically in infancy, manifested as not looking at people, avoiding looking at the caregiver, not having attachment to the caregiver, no social smile to respond to others, and not liking people to touch. Older children in early childhood showed that they did not fit in, did not listen to instructions, and did not know how to develop the ability to play that matched his age. In elementary school, as the age of the ability to improve, began to interact with people but lack of skills, the observance of the awareness of rules is difficult to understand.
The second is the language barrier, which is manifested by late speech, slowness, and little speech, and some children behave normally before the age of onset of two or three years old, but with the arrival of the age of onset, language ability will regress. Some children speak in a very strange tone, intonation, and speed of speech, and cannot communicate with eyes, movements, gestures and expressions, and there will be stereotyped and strange movements.
What are the causes of autism?
The cause of autism so far has not been conclusive, the current research is more biological factors, genetic research is a little more, the environment also has some factors, but our study believes that environmental factors have a promoting effect on the onset of autism, but not the root cause.
How can children with autism integrate into society?
After the lighter autistic child reaches the age of 18, as he grows older, his cognition reaches a certain height, and he also has the opportunity to obtain a skill for making a living, even in this case, he still needs more or less support and assistance from people around us, because it is difficult to establish real friendships with others because of his lack of skills in personal relationships, and it is difficult to establish normal romantic relationships or marriage relationships. Children with severe autism may not even be able to take care of themselves, and this part of the population is a huge burden for families and society.
How to get along with a child with autism?
As a parent, we must improve the correct understanding of autism, grasp the core obstacles of autistic children, learn to get along with this special child in the process of getting along with children, improve parenting skills, be good at observing children, and find that the advantages of children should be vigorously exaggerated and expressed in words, so that children are in a special intervention process of ours anytime and anywhere.
As a teacher, you need to improve your theoretical skills, put it into practice through continuous learning, and teach according to your aptitude when getting along with this kind of child, emphasizing an individualized training plan.
The public should understand and tolerate our autistic children and their families, the parents of autistic children bear a lot of mental pressure from all aspects, so many parents' emotional behavior problems are very serious, the public should understand parents, give them more opportunities to interact with other people.

In the treatment of autism, we have so far adopted the world's mainstream international method to focus on education and training, supplemented by drugs, and a comprehensive rehabilitation training with family participation. In the training process, special emphasis is placed on the participation of parents, and we must improve the awareness and ability of parents to participate in rehabilitation, and to detect early, diagnose early, and intervene early.

The combination of medical education is a major measure of rehabilitation training for children with autism at present, our department integrates clinical medicine and other disciplines, first applied a systematic combination of medical and educational comprehensive intervention mode in China, constantly explores and studies the new technology of early diagnosis and rehabilitation treatment of children with autism, forms a systematic child rehabilitation diagnosis and treatment system, and comprehensively carries out behavior correction psychotherapy, special education and physiological and psychological drugs and other international mainstream treatment methods. Psychobehavioral intervention training and guidance for children with specific developmental and behavioral problems is also clinical rehabilitation. In addition to targeting children and parents, to improve the feasibility of parents participating in children's training, our department will hold various forms of parent training classes every year, and some families can sign up for rehabilitation training, and improve their operability through some practical skills training.
Since 2011, the state has promulgated policies to implement the rescue rehabilitation assistance project for disabled children, and we in Hainan Province landed this project at the first time, which has continued until now every year the state gives economic assistance to three types of children, including autism, mental retardation and cerebral palsy, in addition to holding various forms of parent training classes to improve our parents' ability to participate in rehabilitation.
