Qingming remembers the deceased - Zhang Weiran: Lin Hua thanked Chunhong - remembered Mr. Zhang Xiugui

On September 12, 2021, Zhang Xiugui, a historical geographer and professor at the Institute of Chinese Historical Geography at Fudan University, passed away at the age of 87. After his death, teachers and friends in the academic circles expressed their condolences in various forms and expressed their gratitude for His morality and articles. On the occasion of the Qingming Dynasty, in memory of the deceased, The Paper, Private History selects a group of articles to share with readers.

From autumn to winter to spring, I finally slowly accepted the fact that Mr. Zhang Xiugui had traveled far.

On the way to school, I no longer expect that when I arrive at school, a figure with a puppy will appear in the distance on the sidewalk on the right side of the road, so I excitedly go over to him and greet him, "Hello teacher!" Sitting in his office, there would be no sudden loud banging on the door, and then he leaned in and said hello, "What are you doing?" Oh, I'm okay, I'm okay, just come and see you! After saying that, he immediately turned around and exited: "Okay, you're busy, I'm gone, I'm gone!" ”

Mr. Xiu Gui, who has always maintained a childlike heart, will never come back.

In the past six months, I have thought of every bit of being with Mr. Xiu Gui countless times, but every time I sit down and want to write something, I don't know where to start. Thirty-two years, there are too many unforgettable past events.

One

The first time I knew Mr. Xiu Gui's name was when I was an undergraduate. The inaugural issue of Historical Geography published a long article by him entitled "The Historical Process of the Evolution of Dongting Lake". It was a very heavy article, and now it is a classic document in the field of historical physical geography (or historical landforms to be precise). The original issue was published in 1981, and soon after it went on sale, I bought it in the ancient book bookstore in Shuifengjing, Changsha. After reading it, I was particularly impressed by this article. In 1985, I followed Mr. He Yeheng to do my undergraduate thesis, and the topic was "The Origin and Evolution of South Dongting Lake" suggested by my supervisor, and naturally I could not avoid repeatedly and carefully pondering Mr. Zhang's article. That article formed the basis of my work at that time, and I can imagine how impressed I was with the author.

In the autumn of 1990, I came to Shanghai to study for a doctorate, and only then did I meet Mr. Xiu Gui. At that time, Shi Di was located at the east end of the eighth floor of the Liberal Arts Building, and his office was in the editorial office of "Historical Geography" in the east end facing the reference room. About the second semester, he took a class on history and physical geography, and the classroom was in his office. Although I was very anxious about the blog, I also went to listen to it a few times. In class, he discussed issues related to Dongting Lake and the Lower Jingjiang River.

Not long after, one day he said to me, "You borrowed my book and paid it back!" "I was surprised, there was nothing at all. He looked at me unresponsively and seemed a little surprised. After some time, I asked him if he was looking for a book, and he said he was looking for it. I asked him why he suspected I had borrowed it, and he laughed, stroked his hand and said, "Didn't you sit in my direction during class?" I remember a guy sitting in my northeast who borrowed it, and I'll write it down on your head. Later, the borrower also sat in that position, and the time was almost the same, so I confused you with him. Hahaha! ”

Mr. Zhang's explanation surprised me even more. I had been reading in geography for seven years before that, and no teacher had ever taught me to memorize things this way. Later, I realized that any information to be remembered, as long as a spatial attribute is added, is indeed much more vivid.

In the past few years of doing blog theory, my direction is far from Mr. Zhang's field, and I really don't have many opportunities to have in-depth contact with him. By the time I slowly became familiar with him, it was already after I stayed at the office. At this time, our mutual friend has one more Zhang Xiaohong.

Two

Mr. Xiu Gui is the kind of person who knows at a glance that he can become a good friend. But I, he and Zhang Xiaohong were able to have frequent contact in the past ten years or so, in fact, they were also very grateful to the spatial conditions of the historical place at that time.

At that time, there were also research laboratories in the Institute of History, and each research office had only one office. The room where I was was originally had the desks of Mr. Zhou Zhenhe and Lu Yun; Lu Yun went abroad, Mr. Zhou liked to buy books, and when I graduated, the room could still make a desk for my office; by the time Zhang Xiaohong graduated, the room was already full, not to mention setting up a desk, even standing one stop, measuring the people. Therefore, Zhang Xiaohong came to the office every day, except to open the office and look inside, that is, to stay in the reference room. If you want to talk to someone, you have to stand in the corridor or go to Mr. Zhang's side. Because they all graduated from East China Normal University, Mr. Zhang affectionately called her "Little Master Sister".

The morning time is always easy to get to the meal point in a flash. At that time, eating the canteen was more troublesome, and it was extremely convenient to order table meals, the third floor of the faculty canteen, the pedestrian street behind the union, and many options. Often we were talking, and suddenly one person stood up, the others followed, and we came to a place. Once, Zhang Xiaohong and I were guarding Mr. Zhang one left and one right, and without saying a word of discussion, we directly invited him to the third floor of the staff canteen. It can be described as "without a word, as much as possible".

Whenever I recall the happy times with Mr. Zhang, my first reaction is always the luncheon in those years. There was Mr. Zhang, and there were graduate students in those years. The location is mainly on the third floor of the faculty canteen, and there are two on the pedestrian street, one of which is called Shao Jiuxiang and the other is the branch of Shao Jiuxiang. Mr. Zhang rushed to pay with us, but we were already working, rich, although the salary was not high, but there was a lot of money for eating. As long as you watch Mr. Zhang get ready to get up, one of them will hold Mr. Zhang down, and the other will walk in front of the counter, and the matter will be over.

There is a row of tables on the west side of the window on the third floor of the faculty canteen, and we like to sit at the table in the middle. Outside the window, you can see the third dormitory where Mr. Zhang lives. There are many wooden plaques hanging in the restaurant, and the one that impressed me the most was the "food front man" above the table.

Mr. Zhang's recipe is very wide, the meat is greasy, and those who come do not refuse. Basically, it is mainly home-cooked. If there is wine, he can drink a little to help him have fun, and it doesn't matter if he doesn't have it. Particularly impressive is his preference for fat meat. About 1998, we held a meeting together in Hangzhou, and at the end of the day, the host entertained Dongpo meat, unlimited. He was in his early sixties at the time, and he ate two pieces of dumpling meat on such a large side. I had to ask for three pieces. I thought to myself, smoking can't go the same way, I've already lost for a while; eat fat meat and eat you, but how can you call yourself a student?

Three

When it comes to eating, Mr. Zhang has two famous anecdotes. One piece is said to have been told by Mr. Chen Qiaoyi. It is said that Mr. Zhang first came to East China Normal University to study, walked into the canteen and found that there was rice to eat, he thought it was a welcome to the new, to entertain some good. In the evening, it was rice again. He immediately thought that the welcome was a day. The next day, it was still rice, and he was full of doubts: Is it two days to welcome the new? On the third day, it was still rice, and he immediately understood: the welcome was three days! On the fourth day, there was rice as usual, and he was puzzled. This asked the person and replied, normal, eat rice here every day! He was amazed: Oh my God, there is a place in the world where rice is eaten every day!

Mr. Zhang grew up in southern Fujian, where he eats sweet potatoes all year round. I feel this story. I grew up in southeast Hunan and used sweet potatoes as a child. There is a saying that it is "fishing for winter water" (boiling sweet potatoes) in the morning, "burning incense" (steamed sweet potatoes) at noon, and "three dozen and three blows" (simmering sweet potatoes) in the evening. ["Winter water" refers to winter paddy fields; sweet potato porridge is not easy to thicken, and using chopsticks to fish potatoes in a porridge bowl is like doing things in a winter paddy field.] "Burning incense" refers to burning sandalwood wood when burning incense; when steaming sweet potatoes, the sweet potatoes are set up and burned, similar in shape. "Three dozen three blows" refers to folk music, percussion and blowing music three times between; simmering sweet potatoes are generally thrown in thatch ash simmering, before eating in order to go to the ash, to pat, blow a blow, many times alternate, so there is this analogy. Fortunately, after I went to school, I slowly became mainly rice. There was a time before that when potatoes and rice were mixed, sweet potatoes were cut into grains and steamed with rice. Steamed potato rice often emits a strong sweet potato smell, which is unpleasant. I genuinely think it's contaminating good rice. For the next few decades, I have always been far away from sweet potatoes, and I dare not go to them. I feel that when I was a child, I had already eaten all the sweet potatoes in this life and the next life. It wasn't until a few years ago that a biologist who studied animal life expectancy told me that the food he had studied was sweet potatoes, and that my family also said that the varieties of sweet potatoes on the market are very different from when we were young, and my stereotype of sweet potatoes has only changed slightly.

But Mr. Zhang is not, whether on campus or outside to investigate, as long as there is a smell of roasted sweet potatoes floating in the air, he can't take a step. Man Zhimin smiled several times and said: At this time, you must quickly send a student to buy a piece. I don't think it's easy to understand. The breath is indeed good, but if the spirit enjoys it, why should it be moved. Mr. Zhang ate it for so long when he was a child, didn't he get tired of eating it?

Another thing I heard Mr. Zou Yilin say. Mr. Zou and Mr. Zhang were born on the same day in the same month of the same year, and worked together in the institute for a lifetime, and their relationship was particularly good. Once, Mr. Zhang took Mr. Zou to his hometown. It was Said that Mr. Zhang entered the door and said hello to his brother: "Guest! His brother didn't seem to react at all, and went out with a fishing net. After a while, a net came back from the outside net, a net of sea fish, boiled a large pot of water, and took a pot out again. After a while, a pot of sweet potato shochu was returned. The brothers did not wash the fish, nor scraped the scales, but directly threw it into the boiling water, fished out and ate it. A bite of fish, a sip of wine, and a lot of fun to eat. Mr. Zou did not eat fish or drink alcohol, so he had to sleep in bed. Minnan kind of bed, he can't sleep and can't sleep. Mr. Zhang was very drunk, Mr. Zou did not eat or drink, and served him for a night.

At this point in the story, Mr. Zhang was overjoyed: "So fresh fish, so good wine, you don't have a good mouth, who is to blame?" ”

At the beginning of 2013, the institute organized an inspection trip to southern Fujian. On the morning of January 12, I arrived at Mr. Zhang's hometown of Chongwu Ancient City. Standing on the city wall, I remembered the two stories above. The ancient city is not big, the city gate is facing the sea, there is a Guandi Temple at the door, two or three hundred meters away is the steep coast, no wonder Mr. Zhang's brother carried the net out for a while to catch the fish.

I pulled out my mobile phone to call Mr. Zhang, who asked me where I was, and I said that I was in your hometown, right at the city gate. He said, Oh, you're daddy. I asked, "Who is your father?" He said, "That's the old man at the gate of the city!" ”

Four

Mr. Zhang did not go on that inspection, which made me very unaccustomed at that time. The most pleasant time I had with Mr. Zhang, in addition to dinner, was a field trip.

Before the mid-1990s, the number of graduate students in the institute was small, and fieldwork was difficult to carry out. After the number of people slowly increased, organizing new students to go to the field for internship has become an important event every year. For decades, this kind of thing was generally led by Mr. Zhang. Over the years, the teachers in the institute have the most extensive and harmonious interaction with students, and the first to recommend Mr. Zhang. He didn't have a lot of graduate students with him, but no matter which teacher's students, they were close to him. Among them, Mr. Li's easy-going personality and lack of standing on a cliff shore are certainly a major prerequisite, and at the same time, it is not unrelated to his teaching of this course.

Some people say that to see if a person can fit together, it is best to travel together. During travel, a person's life habits and three views will be exposed. In addition to traveling together, the field internship also has more professional content, and all aspects of a person's character will be more fully exposed. Every time he returns from his internship, Mr. Zhang will gain a large wave of loyal fans.

The first time I went on a field trip with him, I remembered it was in '97, probably in October. At that time, the number of graduate students was still small, and there were empty seats on the bus, and teachers who wished to go could follow. I studied in the Geography Department with a master's degree, and I am no stranger to field expeditions, but the places I ran at that time were not in Jiangnan, and it was of course a good learning opportunity to follow Mr. Zhang in Jiangnan. That time it was not far, as if it had only been to Maqiao and Jinshan. I remember to sharpen at Maqiao at noon and eat Maqiao tofu. It is said that if it is a local famous product, I use the standards of Hunan people to measure it secretly, and I really don't know how to compliment it. In the afternoon, I took a boat to the island, and on the watchtower of Dajinshan, I took a group photo of all the teachers and students. The whole watchtower is like the mast of a giant ship, teachers and students are freely scattered on all floors of the watchtower, high and low, Mr. Zhang is surrounded by everyone standing in the middle, like an old captain.

After taking the group photo, the red sun tilted westward, and everyone was not less interested, but the tide rose up between the words, and after a while, it drowned to the position of the pedal on the ferry. Everyone boarded the boat in a hurry, and one of them almost fell into the tide.

After that, I ran with him several times around Shanghai. The route may be fine-tuned every year, but there are always a few places to go. In addition to Maqiao and Jinshan, there is also Qinglong Town. Sometimes the route is long, so I stay overnight in the middle and come back the next day. In 2005, he lived in Xitang Ancient Town.

In addition to running around Shanghai, for several years Mr. Zhang also took students to Zhenjiang, Yangzhou and Nanjing. One year, after running Yang, Zhen, and Ning, he also went to Huizhou. This kind of long-distance investigation naturally lasts longer and is not done for a week.

Five

In those years, my children were young, my wife had to go to work, and on weekdays I had to pick up my children to kindergarten and school every day, but when the arrangements for going out to investigate spilled over the weekend, I couldn't participate. Therefore, Mr. Zhang took the students to run Yang Zhenning and Huizhou, but I did not go. I followed him in the wild for a long time, only once in 2006.

That year, Man Zhimin and I each had a major project of the Ministry of Education base, all about Jiangnan, so he proposed that at the end of April we run along the Wusong River together. In addition to colleagues Wang Jiange, Zhang Xiaohong, Fu Linxiang, Yang Weibing, Yang Yuda, Sun Tao and graduate student Pan Wei, we also discussed and invited Mr. Zhang. At that time, Mr. Zhang had retired, but was still working on the CHGIS project. He learned of the expedition and was pleased to take us with him.

We rented a minibus and traced it up from Shanghai. First looked at the Ruins of the Yuan Dynasty Sluice gate in Zhidanyuan in Putuo District, and then went to Changning District to look for the ruins of the Song Dynasty docks and observe the geographical environment near the Shipwreck of the Song Dynasty. Then walked to Qinglong Town and walked along the Qinglong River for a long time. The next day, I went to Baihe Town, and then walked to Qiandeng Town, where Gu Yanwu's former residence was located, and went through Lu to dawu River. On the third day, I saw the famous ruins of the Weeping Rainbow Bridge and returned via Kunshan.

Although the expedition was not very long, it left a very deep and warm impression on me. I have been growing up in a hilly area before, and the philosophy of life told by my elders from my childhood is: "Sunset is common in the west mountains, and the water flows to the East China Sea and does not turn back." However, after coming to Jiangnan, the latter sentence was not adapted. In the estuarine area, the water flow can be reversed. Whenever the tide rises, the river not only can not pour into the sea, but also because of the tide to support it and go back, forming a reciprocating flow. This phenomenon is scientifically called "feeling the tide". In such a flowing environment, the landforms on the ground and under the water are extremely complex. When I studied geomorphology related courses at the undergraduate and master's levels, I only saw the flowing water landforms of the mountainous areas and the middle valley, and this time I followed him all the way, watched all the way, and listened to his discussion with Man Zhimin all the way, forming a more systematic intuitive impression of the geomorphological evolution of the estuary area.

At this point we are equipped with a DSLR. Among the photos left behind, the most intimate is a group taken in Qiandeng Town. Especially under the Akiyama Pavilion, I took a picture of the Eight Immortals with the willows and mountain flowers as the front and back scenes. Mr. Zhang took a cigarette in his hand, sat on the Taihu Lake stone, and made Zhang Guo's old appearance. When I came back, I showed it to Man Zhimin, and he smiled and said, "Then I will be Uncle Cao Guo!" ”

With Mr. Zhang, I can hardly feel the passage of time. He is always so honest, open, unpretentious, and can mingle with students of every age. There is a couplet that says, "Only a great hero can be his true color, and he is a true celebrity who is self-styled", and Mr. Zhang's demeanor is almost close.

Shortly after returning from that visit to Wu Songjiang, I strongly realized that Mr. Zhang had been working with Mr. Tan for more than thirty years, and they had done so many pioneering research together, and I should ask him to talk more about his past cooperation with Mr. Tan. It happened that year that his "Research on China's Historical Landforms and Ancient Maps" was published, so I talked to him several times, and wrote a "Academic Cooperation and Innovation" published in the 9th issue of "Reading" in 2007 (later included in the humble book "Academic Warmth and Respect", Beijing Normal University, 2018 edition).

Of course, there are many things that cannot be written in that article, such as Mr. Zhang's daily interaction with Mr. Tan. Mr. Zhang told me that for many years, he and Mr. Tan lived in the fifth dormitory, and he also lived in the house where Mr. Tan once lived. I asked him which set it was, and he gave me a comparison as he spoke. After half a day of comparison, I found that I had no idea of the space in the fifth dormitory, and he had no choice but to say: "Go, I will take you to see!" So he led me to the fifth dormitory for a field trip.

Mr. Zhang also specifically told me about Master Tan's mother. I came here late and have never seen it before. Mr. Zhang said that Master Tan has a lot of personality, but she is quite close to him. In the early 1980s, after Mr. Tan moved to Gao'an Road, Huaihai Middle Road, at that time, Master Tan's mother had already had mobility problems due to a stroke, and every time she heard Mr. Zhang go, she would excitedly shout his name. Mr. Zhang was widowed in the mid-1970s and for a long time pulled a pair of children alone, and Master Tan's mother repeatedly said that she would introduce Mr. Zhang to the object.

After listening to Mr. Zhang talk a few times, I made a wish to make him an oral autobiography. At that time, Mr. Zhang was just seventy years old, his health was very good, and I wanted to come to Japan for a long time. Shortly thereafter, he suffered hearing loss in his right ear. I thought it would be fine soon, so I wasn't in a hurry. But then it was not cured for a long time, and it became more and more serious, and by the time I realized that it was a problem, he already had difficulty communicating every day. The matter finally dragged on in my days and years of delays. Regret.

Seven

In addition to the class, Mr. Zhang rarely poses as a teacher. He spoke to us in a calm tone, sometimes in an almost joking way. But on two occasions he spoke to me more seriously and touched me deeply.

Not long after I stayed at the institute, he once said to me that I studied geography and should do historical and physical geography, at least to do it. Related to this sentence, Mr. Tan Qijun also said to me when I first entered the phD. Mr. Tan asked me to look wider and not just stare at a doctoral dissertation. Mr. Tan's original words were: "In the field of historical geography, every topic must be affordable and put down." Mr. Zhang's words are naturally different from Mr. Tan's meaning.

I said to Mr. Zhang very frankly: historical physical geography, I can do it, but it is really not as interested in historical human geography. When I first studied geography, I did not take the initiative to learn it myself; I obeyed the voluntary assignment and did not let me transfer departments. I came to study historical geography because I didn't want to do those things for the rest of my life. If I want to only do physical geography, I would stay in the geography department, and what history should I study? I came to study history mainly because I wanted to delve into the humanistic content of it. Of course, I will do this if there are some physical geography issues involved, but I am afraid that I will not be able to take care of a certain branch of historical physical geography as my main direction of attack in the future.

Listening to my argument, Mr. Zhang did not reluctantly. He lowered my requirements and asked me to pay attention to historical and physical geography in the future, and not to make myself like someone who has not studied geography.

From 2009 to 2013, I studied the ecological background of the rise of avian poetry, involving the geographical distribution of ancient birds, for a long time. Once, when I had dinner with Mr. Zhang, I reported to him that although I had published several books and published many articles in this regard, there were still many articles to be done. He was happy and asked me to make time for action.

The other time was shortly after I was on ortho. Looking at it now, I was relatively smooth at zhenggao at that time, but because I applied for several years, I felt very uncomfortable. After a few months, Mr. Zhang asked me how I was feeling. I said: I'm ashamed. He was a little surprised, and I explained: When I'm not on it, I'm always compared to some poor people; I think they're all on it, and I'm enough. After I went to school, I thought that so many predecessors were so good at learning, they were professors, and I actually became a professor, and I felt very weak in my heart.

After listening to this sentence, Mr. Zhang slapped me the shoulder and said, Okay, young man, if you can think like this, it will be easy to deal with later. Keep up the good work! ”

Eight

I always feel that Mr. Zhang's care for our descendants hides a deep sense of discipline for historical geography. After graduating from university in 1959, he devoted himself to the cause of historical geography, assisted Mr. Tan Qijun in founding the country's first undergraduate major in historical geography in 1960, and later developed historical and geomorphological research in cooperation with the compilation of the "Historical Atlas of China", and also carried out historical map research. Towards Yus, Xi Yusi, he sincerely regarded historical geography as a place to settle down.

In 1979, the Historical Geography Committee of the Geographical Society of China founded the "Historical Geography" series, and asked Mr. Tan Qijun to edit it, and Mr. Tan asked Mr. Wu Yingshou, who studied history, and Mr. Zhang, who studied geography, to be responsible for the specific editing. Mr. Wu retired in the late 1980s and Mr. Tan died in 1992, while Mr. Zhang has been sticking to it, edited by the executive editorial board and executive deputy editor-in-chief, until retirement.

In 1984, after consulting with Mr. Tan, Mr. Hou Renzhi invited Mr. Zhang to serve as the secretary of the Special Committee on Historical Geography. After that, Mr. Zhang successively served as a director and deputy director of the Chinese Geographical Society on behalf of the special committee, and was responsible for the communication between the historical and geographical society for a long time.

The publication of "Historical Geography" and the special committee, these two tasks for him, are like two children brought up by an old nanny. After retirement, his burden was lifted, but his concern never stopped. Whenever some new progress is made, he is sincerely pleased. In 2018, the Historical Geography series received a title and created the Journal of Historical Geography Studies, and he was delighted with it from the bottom of his heart. One day in the middle, I went to his house to report to him, and his hands danced and his feet danced, and his gratitude overflowed with words.

Mr. Zhang does these things, never cares about fame, purely to do things and help everyone. The wind of an ancient gentleman who has achieved great success and does not live.

Nine

Before last year, I didn't believe that Mr. Zhang would leave us so soon. In the past few years, his hearing loss was severe, and he had a hard time speaking in person, but later he used WeChat and could communicate through text. With his character and physical background, I firmly believe that he must enjoy a high life.

Last year's Spring Festival, Yu Wei came to see me and said that Mr. Zhang's lung nodules had enlarged, and he took Mr. Zhang to see a doctor, suspecting that the situation was not optimistic. The news surprised me. On the First Yuan Festival, Brother Hu Axiang and his sister-in-law came to see Mr. Zhang from Nanjing, and I discussed Mr. Zhang's condition with them, feeling that although I had to prepare for the worst, I still didn't feel how anxious I would be in my heart.

At the beginning of March, I invited Mr. Zhang to go to the seabed to fish for a small talk. Professor Han Zhaoqing picked him up, and my family and Brother Wu Song's family talked very happily. In the middle, Mr. Zhang got up and went outside, I was not at ease, I also got up and followed; he found me following, drank and said, "What are you here to do, go back!" Then he gestured with his hand in the direction he was going to the bathroom. I pretended to be obedient and hurried to the bathroom door when he entered. After a while, he came out. The reaction was agile, the steps were strong, and it was completely impossible to see that there was any harm in the body. At that moment, my confidence in his health was strengthened.

In mid-May, I asked him an academic question on WeChat, and he told me in passing that he was hospitalized. When I said I would go to see him another day, he sent me two messages back, saying, "I'm fine, to be honest, it makes more sense to be busy with your business than to come to see me"; "If you are busy with your business, it is the best visit to me." After four days, he sent a message to tell me about his condition, saying: "Now that the plan is clear, it will be controlled according to the conditioning of traditional Chinese medicine." Rest assured. ”

In late July, Professor Han Zhaoqing celebrated Mr. Zhang's birthday in advance and invited me and Zhang Xiaohong and others to accompany him. That day, I saw that Mr. Zhang was weaker than usual, but it was also fine, and it did not look particularly dragon clock.

Qingming remembers the deceased - Zhang Weiran: Lin Hua thanked Chunhong - remembered Mr. Zhang Xiugui

Unexpectedly, on the night of Teacher's Day, Zhang Xiaohong called me and reminded me to see Mr. Zhang. The next morning, when the rain was pouring, my son and I each rode a bicycle, like a boat in the water. When they arrived at his home, Brother Wang Miaofa and Brother Zhu Yi had already arrived first. At this time, Mr. Zhang's condition made me unbelievable. He lay on the bed, breathing hard, and could no longer greet our arrival.

At that time, a nurse had already come to take a nucleic acid sample for him, and he planned to send him to the hospital when the results came out. We talked about the pros and cons for about an hour. On the way back, I also thought that after he was admitted to the hospital, I didn't know how to see him, and the access control was so strict during this extraordinary period. Unexpectedly, at ten o'clock the next day, I was eating breakfast when Zhang Xiaohong called again. She told me with a sad voice that Mr. Zhang had left, just at three or four o'clock in the morning!

Ten

I spent a winter conceiving this article. Halfway through the spring, I wrote the above words intermittently. I know the words suck. Trivial, bleak, not enough to reflect Mr. Zhang's wind god in case. But there was no way, I stopped there.

Words are always powerless when they are really going to come in handy.

Let me just write about it here.
