Today, Toyota officially released the fourth model of the GR series, the GR Corolla, and the new car launched two versions, namely the Core version and the Ciruit Edition version. According to previous news, this high-performance car is expected to be introduced into domestic sales in the future.
In terms of appearance, gr corolla is based on the corolla hatchback version of the model, the entry-level Core version uses a huge mesh air intake, the two side air intakes create a wide body effect, but also uses vertical air curtains and bright black decorations, creating a bad temperament, the side skirt with the "GR-Four" logo highlights its four-wheel drive attributes.
The car features a four-door structure and is the only four-door model in the GR series, with the Core edition offering black, white and red, and the Ciruit Edition offering white, red and grey. Gr Corolla features high-performance 18-inch glossy black wheels with four-piston aluminum calipers and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 high-performance tires with 235/40 R18 tires.
The rear styling is very special, the car uses a three-exhaust layout, equipped with a blackened rear surround component and a newly designed tail diffuser assembly, which is not to be underestimated.
Interior-wise, the new car is equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD gauge that displays a tachometer, turbo pressure, current gear and selected four-wheel drive mode. In terms of power, gr corolla is based on the upgraded GA-C platform, equipped with a G16E-GTS 1.6T three-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 370 Nm, a 6-speed manual transmission and a GR-Four four-wheel drive system, and provides front/rear power distribution of 60:40, 50:50 and 30:70, and the Circuit Edition model will also be equipped with front and rear limited slip differentials.
The new car will be produced at the GR plant in Motocho, Japan, and many legendary models have been born, such as the Lexus LFA and toyota Supra A80. The plant employs numerous manual assembly techniques and focuses more on quality than yield.
