Looking at this, BYD plans to launch the first model based on NVIDIA's automatic driving solution in 2023, and Weilai plans to launch an ET7 sedan equipped with Nvidia's automatic driving this year.
It can be seen that the cooperation model with NVIDIA has been launched very positively. The 25 partner car companies will contribute more than $11 billion to NVIDIA in the next six years.
You say that we have witnessed NVIDIA's first cut off of the supply of Great Russia. Under this premise, why are domestic car companies still so welcoming? But what about avoiding Huawei in their own country?
Tell you the reason right away, say three points, the third point is the most critical.
First, what does the fear of Huawei mean?
You may not think of it. Huawei is very popular in the hearts of our ordinary consumers, and its significance to the country in terms of scientific and technological breakthroughs is also very large. However, in the industry, Huawei is actually not very popular.
This is not what Huawei has done wrong, the reason is that Huawei is too strong, it enters a field, basically rushing to the first place.
I had seen a speech inside Yu Chengdong before and said something real. Said that in 2019, Yu Chengdong and a mobile phone brand big guy dinner, the other side said, Yu Zong, our mobile phone share is falling every day, according to such a drop, next year they should close the door. The strength of this brand in the industry is quite good, and everyone guesses who this mobile phone brand is.
It can be seen that Huawei's combat effectiveness is very strong. The final result is that everyone knows that the world-class tycoons are forced to sacrifice the credibility of the country and to act shamelessly.
Another example, photovoltaic inverters, 3 years to achieve the world's first. It is rumored that Huawei did this only because it was to build a communication base station in Africa, because the infrastructure in Africa is too poor to supply enough electricity, so Huawei simply made its own photovoltaic inverter.
Second, compared with Huawei, NVIDIA is more suitable for the role of a supplier.
Huawei has launched 3 models and launched two models. Although the manufacturer claims to be a well-off car, the M5 that is currently being sold can be said to have been completed under the personal management of Huawei. Even the conference was opened by Yu Chengdong, and the sales channel was Huawei. Therefore, to a certain extent, the relationship between car companies and Huawei can be said to be half a peer.
The truth is that the industry has been worried that Huawei will eventually build the car itself. If Huawei is also using autonomous driving under this premise, is this not contributing revenue to competitors? Moreover, due to the adaptation of autonomous driving, the smart cockpit may leak the relevant data of the car. to develop a precise defensive or competitive strategy in the final sales market. No car company wants to see this.
Third, open up overseas sales channels
Many people say that the use of NVIDIA by domestic car companies should be more to open up overseas sales channels, and it is difficult for Westerners to accept Huawei's intelligent driving in foreign countries. On that point, all I can say is, well, understand.
However, whether the domestic market can accept cars equipped with foreign autonomous driving systems will be verified by the market.
