Pingdingshan, China News Network, March 25 (Yang Dayong) "In our company, some left-behind children have come out of the entanglement, regained self-confidence, set goals, and returned to the track of normal life." On the 24th, Ren Huanying, the initiator of the "Light Up the Heart Lamp" psychological volunteer service project of the Education and Sports Bureau of Wugang City, Henan Province, told reporters.

In 2007, Ren Huanying taught at the Experimental Primary School in Wugang City, Henan Province, and some left-behind children in the class had many growing pains due to their long-term lack of family companionship. In her interaction and chat with left-behind children, she obviously feels that their depression, inferiority, sensitivity and loneliness in life directly affect their healthy growth.

In April of that year, Ren Huanying set up a "Ying Zi Sister Online" psychological counseling room in the school and installed a "Ying Zi Sister" mailbox, and the children of the school affectionately called Ren Huan Ying "Ying Zi Sister".

Since then, more and more children have opened their hearts to "Ying Zi Sister": "Ying Zi Sister, I don't want my parents to work outside all year round, I am always lonely, what to do?" "I was often misunderstood by my classmates, and I couldn't make my friends, which was very distressing." ......

For a time, the mailbox of "Sister Yingzi" was filled with the secrets of her classmates. Ren Huanying carefully analyzed one by one, patiently replied, and became a guiding light for children to get out of their inner shadows and grow up healthily.

"At that time, I had to reply to more than 50 letters a week, and sometimes children who encountered more typical problems would face to face to solve their knots." Ren Huanying said.

"Go alone fast, go far". Driven by Ren Huanying, a group of caring and psychology-loving teachers on the local education front were organized to set up the "Light Up the Heart Lamp" psychological volunteer service team of the Wugang Municipal Education and Sports Bureau.

Ren Huanying clearly remembers that one night in August 2018, Ren Huanying, who was coaxing her child to sleep, received a strange phone call, and on the other end of the phone, an old lady was anxious to say that her grandson was missing. The old lady's grandson is called Xiaozhi (pseudonym), his parents divorced not long ago, and he became lonely and inferior.

After hanging up the phone, Ren Huanying immediately dialed Xiao Zhi's class teacher's phone, and the two rushed to Xiao Zhi's home overnight. They and Xiao zhi's family walked along a local reservoir to search, and eventually found Xiao Zhi curled up there under a culvert. After persuasion, Xiaozhi finally calmed down and went home.

"Since then, we have loved Xiaozhi psychologically and materially, and we love him more, and slowly, he has learned to understand and accept reality, regained his self-confidence, become cheerful, and his academic performance has caught up." Ren Huanying recalled.

Over the past 16 years, Ren Huanying and the "Light Up the Heart Lamp" psychological volunteer service team have cared for the hearts of children, orphans and left-behind children of single-parent families like "spiritual gatekeepers", benefiting more than 30,000 students and parents every year.

Whenever he sees the people being helped undergoing rapid changes, Ren Huanying also seems to see the realization of self-worth, and his heart is very full and happy. "My team and I are willing to be a beacon of children's hearts and minds, and we will continue to persevere." Ren Huanying said. (End)
