On March 22, Maserati unveiled its new SUV, the Grecale, which will compete with models such as the Porsche Macan, and its price in China is expected to be released in April. The new car is divided into three versions, namely GT version, Modena version and Trofeo version. The GT model is equipped with a 2.0T plus 48V light hybrid four-cylinder engine with a maximum horsepower of 300 horsepower. The Modena version uses the same powertrain, but differs in tuning, with a maximum horsepower of 330 hp, and the acceleration time of the two models to 100 km/h is 5.6 seconds and 5.3 seconds, respectively.
The Trofeo version is equipped with a high-performance V6 engine developed from the "Nettuno Poseidon" engine based on the Maserati MC20, which has been redesigned and fully optimized, using a wet oil pan, equipped with closed cylinder technology, adding a pre-combustion chamber design, with a maximum output of 530 horsepower, 100 km/h acceleration of only 3.8 seconds, and a maximum speed of 285 km/ h.
The front face of the Grecale is more recognizable, and the lower grille position creates a nice sports atmosphere. The smooth lines of the body are combined with the carbon fiber material, highlighting its high quality and sporty style. The GT version has a body length of 4846 mm, a wheelbase of 2901 mm, a body height and width of 1670 mm and 1948 mm, and a rear track of 1694 mm, while the Modena version has a rear track of 40 mm more than the GT version.
The new car will come with 19-inch alloy wheels, with a choice of 20-inch or 21-inch wheels. The tail design is inspired by the "boomerang" taillight design of Maserati's classic model 3200GT, with a new "Maserati" letter logo. The Grecale's tail features a new exhaust design and a special design feature for the Trofeo model.
In the interior part, the new car features a digital dial, and the 12.3-inch central control screen is the largest screen Maserati has ever configured in the car. The car will also offer an 8.8-inch comfort control panel with additional controls and a rear seat touchscreen for rear passengers.
The digital clock above the central control screen replaces the mechanical clock of previous models and offers three dial skins to choose from. Grecale is equipped with an immersive stereo surround sound system developed by Maserati in collaboration with high-end audio manufacturer Sonus Faber, including 21 speakers as well as 3D stereo sound, with maximum power up to 1200W.
In the future, Grecale will also offer a pure electric version of the Grecale Folgore, which is also Maserati's first pure electric SUV model, equipped with four-wheel drive and 400V technology, equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 105 kWh and a peak torque of 800 Nm.
