As Maserati's second SUV model, the Grecale shares the same design concept as the supercar MC20, focusing more on vertical visual proportions rather than horizontal proportions. The lower straight-waterfall grille, the use of carbon fiber materials, and the smooth lines of the coupé model all create just the right amount of atmosphere. This time, Grecale offers three versions: GT, Modena, and Trofeo. And three recognizable debut colors were introduced: the GT version is retro bronze, the Modena version is magic gray, and the Trofeo version is track yellow. In the inner room, the Sonus faber sound and the application of luxury materials including a large number of solid wood, carbon fiber and leather can be seen. The new 12.3-inch central control screen is maserati's largest size screen in the car to date, plus an 8.8-inch control panel with additional controls and a rear seat touchscreen for rear passengers. The digital dial is the first digital clock element used by the Trident brand in a car, which enhances the sense of technology in the inner chamber. The vehicle is equipped with Maserati Intelligent Assist (MIA) multimedia systems, the latest generation of infotainment systems and optional color HUD head-up displays.
The Maserati Grecale comes with multiple powertrain versions, including a traditional internal combustion engine and a hybrid powertrain. The GT and Modena versions are equipped with a 2.0T four-cylinder engine and a 48V light hybrid system with a maximum output of 300 hp and 330 hp respectively. The Trofeo version is equipped with a 3.0T V6 engine with a maximum output of 530 horsepower, which is in line with the "Nettuno Poseidon" engine on the Maserati Supercar MC20, accelerating 3.8 seconds per 100 km/h and reaching a top speed of 285 km/h. The new car comes standard with ZF's 8-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system. The vehicle offers five driving modes: COMFORT Comfort, GT, SPORT, OFF-ROAD, and CORSA Track Mode (available in the Trofeo version).
In the future, Grecale will also launch a pure electric version of Folgore, using 400 volt technology. At that time, the Grecale will be the most complete product array ever for the Trident brand, and it will also be the first 100% pure electric SUV in the history of the Maserati brand.
