On March 22, Polish game company CDPR officially announced that a new game "The Witcher 4" is already in development and will use Unreal Engine 5. CdOR also confirmed that the technology used in Cyberpunk 2077, REDengine, will also be used in cyberpunk 2077 expansion packs.
The Witcher series has long been talked about by players around the world, including The Witcher 2: Assassin of kings, which was given as a gift by the Polish Prime Minister as US President Barack Obama. The developer of the game, CDPR, is also considered one of the bright lights in the industry, and its status can be said to be second only to Nintendo and R Star.
But CDPR has also faced many problems recently, the most serious of which is the failure of Cyberpunk 2077. The game can only be said to have reached the AAA level, the playability is OK, but there are not too many highlights to speak of, coupled with poor optimization, many high-end graphics cards can not run smoothly.
Therefore, a year after the release of Cyberpunk 2077, cdpr's reputation has also plummeted.
