Today, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the analysis report on the operation of the domestic mobile phone market in February 2022. According to the data, the shipment of mobile phones in the domestic market reached 14.864 million units in February, down 31.7% year-on-year. Among them, the shipment of 5G mobile phones was 11.374 million units, accounting for 76.5% of the total shipments, down 24.5% year-on-year.
Domestic brand mobile phone shipments in February were 12.783 million units, down 34.7% year-on-year, accounting for 86.0% of mobile phone shipments in the same period. Combined with the market data in January, the overall shipment volume of the domestic mobile phone market from January to February totaled 47.886 million units, down 22.6% year-on-year.
In February, a total of 29 new models of domestic mobile phones were listed, all from domestic brands, and the number increased by 3.6% year-on-year, of which 15 were 5G mobile phones, accounting for 51.7% of the number of new models listed, down 6.3% year-on-year.
