The price increase involves the Standard Edition model of the Model Y produced in China, which is also the cheapest model in Tesla's Model Y series. Tesla has announced price increases for three consecutive times this month. Depending on the long-endurance version and the high-performance version, it varies from 14,200 yuan to 20,000 yuan.
After the price increase, the price of the Model 3 long-endurance version was set at 279,900 yuan, the Model 3 all-wheel drive high-performance version was 367,900 yuan, and the price of the two versions corresponding to the Model Y was 375,900 yuan and 417,900 yuan, respectively. The model Y's rear-wheel-drive model also rose 15,000 yuan to 316,900 yuan.
Because Tesla has raised prices many times in the short term, we found an interesting phenomenon in Tesla's forum: in the posts on the homepage, almost half of them are to resell new car orders, and a small half are to add money to buy new car orders.

On March 15, BYD announced that it would adjust the prices of its products.
According to BYD's official information, BYD's price adjustment is highly targeted for Dynasty family products and marine series products, with an increase ranging from 3,000 yuan to 6,000 yuan.
Among them, the products with a price increase of 3,000 yuan mainly revolve around hybrid models such as DM-i, which are not so dependent on batteries, while the price increase of 6,000 yuan is mainly pure electric products with a higher proportion of battery costs.
The reason for the price increase of new energy vehicles is largely caused by the increase in the price of upstream raw materials. In particular, lithium carbonate, in early March, the price of battery-grade lithium carbonate exceeded 500,000 yuan / ton. A year ago, the price of battery-grade lithium carbonate was less than 90,000 yuan / ton, up more than 5 times a year.
Cui Dongshu of the Association of Automobile Associations believes that at present, the head of the new energy vehicle companies have mastered a certain pricing power, and their price adjustment will not affect the demand of the terminal market. At the same time, the current rise in raw material prices is unsustainable and will eventually return to rational market pricing.
