For routine in vitro fertilization, 4-5 hours after egg retrieval, the treated sperm are calculated and the number is determined and placed in the same Petri dish with the eggs, co-cultured for about 14-18 hours, and then the fertilization is observed under the microscope.
Embryos are cultured in vitro
The fertilized eggs are cultured in vitro for 2-5 days to form embryos at the cleft or blastocyst stage.
Embryo transfer
Fertilized eggs can develop into 8-16 cell stage embryos in vitro culture for 48-72 h. At this time, according to the age of the patient, whether she has been pregnant or not, and the quality of the embryos, the number of transferred embryos is determined, and the excess embryos can be cryopreserved. Embryo constant%/healthy transfer generally does not require anesthesia. At present, most of the embryos are transferred 2-3 days after fertilization, and most of the well-known TEST tube hospitals in Thailand use embryo transfers 3-5 days after fertilization.
Progesterone supplementation after embryo transfer
At present, we mostly use injection method to give progesterone to support the progesterone. If pregnancy is confirmed, hCG is switched to continue supplementation until 10 weeks of pregnancy. Morning urine or blood hCG levels are measured on the 14th day after embryo transfer to determine pregnancy.
