It is understood that in the future, the Sanxingdui Culture and Bronze Civilization Research Center will systematically plan and build a research system in eight directions, including the difference and connection between bronze and bronze culture, the classification of Sanxingdui bronze, the connotation of Sanxingdui bronze culture, the religious belief of Sanxingdui culture, the symbol system of Sanxingdui bronze culture, the expression of Sanxingdui bronze culture and art, the exchange and interaction between ancient Shu and surrounding areas, and the ancient Shu culture and Sino-foreign relations.
At the inauguration ceremony, Duan Yu, director and chief expert of the center, said that the establishment of the Sanxingdui Culture and Bronze Civilization Research Center has enhanced the strength of the academic team horizontally and extended the research direction of Sanxingdui culture from the vertical point of view, "The center is affiliated with the Sichuan Historical Research Institute, which will establish a long-term mechanism oriented to scientific research practice, and at the same time vigorously introduce scientific research talents from different discipline backgrounds, focusing on the research directions of material civilization, spiritual civilization and political civilization." Focus on Sanxingdui research to build Sichuan cultural self-confidence
Sichuan has rich cultural relics resources, Sanxingdui brilliant bronze culture, is an outstanding representative of the urban civilization in the Yangtze River Basin, and occupies an important position in the process of Chinese civilization's pluralism and continuous integration. "Sanxingdui is the largest resource of Sichuan's history and culture, and studying Sanxingdui well is the greatest contribution to the ancient Shu civilization and even the entire Sichuan history and culture." It is necessary to stand at the height of helping Chinese civilization explore the source, plant a foundation of national cultural self-confidence, and inherit Chinese civilization, and occupy the strategic commanding heights and academic discourse power of Sanxingdui cultural research and ancient Shu civilization exploration. At the inauguration ceremony, Gao Gao, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Academy of Social Sciences, said.

In this regard, Duan Yu said that in addition to the experts of the Sichuan Provincial Institute of History, the center will also be coordinated by scholars from all walks of life such as universities and other research institutions to form an intensive research team.
Gao Gaowei, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Academy of Social Sciences, said that the center will coordinate the scientific research resources of the whole academy, build a three-dimensional and systematic academic platform based on the center, with "one society, one forum, one magazine, one website" as the backbone, and integrate domestic and foreign and multidisciplinary research forces.
