The controversy about the unworthiness of the huashan sword can be said to have a long history, and as early as many years ago, some readers raised it. Because the meaning of "on the sword" is to discuss the art of swordsmanship, but "Huashan on the sword" is not to discuss the art of swordsmanship.
Although the statement is reasonable, it is actually not necessary, which is somewhat suspicious of raising the bar.
Why?
Because "on the sword" is a graceful name. We Chinese use language elegance, often refer to physical objects, which is a very normal thing.

In fact, in the original serial version, Huashan discussed the sword, compared with the sword technique and swordplay. Perhaps considering that there was no need to do anything more, Mr. Jin Yong deleted the setting of Huashan's swordplay in the later triptych version.
In fact, this modification is correct, there is no need to deliberately cater to the elegant name of "on the sword", which is originally a false finger, so why bother with this move?
The personality and martial arts of the five absolutes have their own characteristics, what kind of personality, what kind of martial arts, which is also a major highlight of the novel, the characters are more diverse. If the five masters all use swords, and the Huashan Sword is only a test of swordplay, it will be a bit of a painting for the ground.
