The theme of the exhibition borrows from david Hockney's 2009 biographical documentary title, Bigger Picture, "We can't grasp what the world looks like... However, if you are fascinated by the real look of the world, you will definitely be very interested in the way you encounter paintings. "One of the world's most popular artists, David Hockney, recreated the "landscape" with techniques such as collage, breaking through the linear perspective method since Renaissance art, exploring the motif of how painting reproduces the world, and its artistic theory has a far-reaching impact.

Among the artists are many well-known figures of Chinese contemporary art: Cai Dongdong, Lei Lei, Ling Yun & Yang Fudong, Liu Ding, Luo Yongjin, Ni Youyu, Ren Lingfei, Wang Gongxin, Yin Xiuzhen, Yu Ji, Zhang Enli, Zhou Xiaohu, etc., who have also skillfully used the technique of "collage" in their creations. Their works are not only a new exploration of "collage" at multiple levels such as media, means and concepts, but also gradually integrate with various new art forms such as video, installation, and digital technology.
