In 2021, at the Royal College of Art in London, an exhibition themed "The Arrival of Spring, Normandy" featured 116 paintings of Normandy from early spring, mid-spring to late spring.
The ponds in the countryside, the reflections of willow trees, the buds of the branches, the shape of the clouds, and the artist's unique way of observing and humor. For example, even when he was in the toilet, he concentrated on watching the moon; and he concentrated on observing the color of the asphalt road to distinguish whether it was purple gray or pink gray.
