Next weekend, Hong Kong ushered in the first important Chinese art auction this spring, and there is only one piece of Huanghuali furniture, that is, the recently introduced Huanghuali transparent carved dragon wearing a patterned large seat screen.
In mid-May, the London Spring Auction will open again, and the number of Huanghuali collections is also very small. From a small round box the size of a palm to a table more than a meter long, there are six pieces in total.
Huanghuali inlaid Ming Dynasty jade lid box, diameter 10.7 cm, broken dynasty for the eighteenth century, estimated at 3,000 to 5,000 pounds, the exchange rate against the renminbi is roughly 8.7.
The seal book at the bottom of the box is engraved with "Yiqin Jushi", and you can also see some wooden details.
There is also a small piece of carved stump pen holder, 16 cm horizontal, dating from the 17th to the 18th century, which looks like a yellow pear and is estimated at 10,000 to 15,000 pounds.
Huanghuali Kang table, 122 meters long, 61 high and 46 cm high, dating from the late Qing Dynasty or the Republic of China period, the later characteristics are reflected in the contours of the tooth strips and the shape of the feet, estimated at 5,000 to 8,000 pounds.
Perhaps due to the color cast of the photo, the color of the table appears to be somewhat whitish.
Huanghuali is a four-sided flat double-layered incense table, 41 meters long, 31.5 meters high, 80.5 cm, dating from the 17th century, estimated at 15,000 to 25,000 pounds.
The horseshoe is flattened, or protruding from worn ends of the feet, and the distinctive side feet are full of charm.
The huanghuali relief tangled branch flower pattern flat head case, 148.5 width 47 height 79 cm, dating from the 18th to the 19th century, estimated at 20,000 to 30,000 pounds.
Neither the chuck tenon nor the raglan tenon construction, the form of the furniture has been cleared.
Huanghuali relief dragon strip table, length 157.5 width 51.6 height 85 cm, broken for the middle of the Qing Dynasty, high tunic waist digging cannon barrel open light, the Luo pot or bawang maple structure is omitted, the overall appearance is transparent and ethereal.
This is the highest priced piece of Huanghuali furniture on the market, 30,000 to 50,000 pounds, equivalent to 260,000 to 440,000 yuan.
