Recently, Aika Automobile learned from Evergrande Automobile that its first mass-produced model, the Hengchi 5, positioned as a compact pure electric SUV, will be officially launched in the second quarter. The declaration chart of Hengchi 5 appeared on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in November 2021, and its mass-produced version of the model was officially rolled off the production line in January 2022. At present, the car has passed the one-month publicity period of the new car of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and obtained the sales qualification.
The shape design of the Hengchi 5 is designed by Shiro Nakamura and his team, a well-known Japanese car designer who has contributed many classic models such as vehi cross, 350Z, GT-R R35 and many other classic models to Isuzu and Nissan. The body size of Hengchi 5 reaches 4725*1925*1688mm, and the wheelbase is 2780mm, which is a relatively advantageous in compact SUVs.
According to previous information, the interior of Hengchi 5 will be equipped with three large screens, namely a 10.25-inch instrument screen, a 14.6-inch central control screen and a 10.25-inch co-driver screen, and provide Alcantara material seats, as well as configurations such as seat heating/ventilation, seat memory, and electric tailgates.
The Hengchi 5 will be equipped with an electric motor supplied by United Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 150 kW (204 hp), a maximum torque of 345 Nm, and a battery capacity unknown. The maximum cruising range of the vehicle under the CLTC test standard is 602 km. Previously, it was reported that the price range of the car was between 150,000 and 240,000 yuan, but the news was not officially confirmed by Hengchi Automobile.
