Recently, yichexun learned from official channels that the world's first set of 1000 tons / year carbon dioxide hydrogenation to gasoline pilot plant jointly developed by the Dalian Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "Dalian Institute of Chemistry") and Zhuhai Fuyu Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully started in Shandong Zoucheng Industrial Park and produced clean gasoline products that meet the national VI standards.

On the 4th of this month, the technology passed the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation in Shanghai. The experts of the evaluation expert group unanimously agreed that the technological achievements are the first in the world, and the overall technology is at the international leading level, and agreed to pass the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements.
The research team composed of the Research Group of the Dalian Institute of Carbon Resources Small Molecules and Hydrogen Energy Utilization Innovation Special Zone developed the carbon dioxide hydrogenation to gasoline production technology in 2017, which has undergone laboratory small tests, 100 grams of single tube evaluation tests, catalyst tonnage scale-up preparation, pilot process package design and other processes, and completed the 1,000-ton pilot plant in 2020 in Zoucheng Industrial Park, Shandong Province. The plant has completed a total investment of more than 40 million yuan, and has successively realized the commissioning, formal operation and optimization of industrial side line data, and officially passed the continuous 72-hour on-site assessment organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation in October 2021.
This technology can achieve a conversion rate of 95% of carbon dioxide and hydrogen, the selectivity of gasoline in all carbon-containing products is better than 85%, significantly reducing the single consumption of raw hydrogen and carbon dioxide, the overall process energy consumption is low, the generated gasoline products are environmentally friendly and clean, and the octane number exceeds 90 after third-party testing, and the distillation range and composition are in line with national VI standards. At present, a complete set of carbon dioxide hydrogenation to gasoline production technology with independent intellectual property rights has been formed, which provides strong support for the operation of subsequent 10,000-ton industrial devices.
