However, everyone may not know that the development of these best-selling models is related to an easy-going "big sister next door" who is thin and quiet, speaks softly and often has a smile on his face. She is Bai Hong, chief engineer of SAIC-GM-Wuling Xinbaojun brand.

In 1995, at the age of 24, Bai Hong entered the Liuzhou Micro Automobile Factory, the predecessor of SAIC-GM-Wuling, starting as a technician in the painting workshop. Over the past 27 years, with decades of dedication, she has gradually grown into a body engineer, a body chief engineer... The chief engineer of the new Baojun brand and the chief technology officer of the user scenario platform have become one of the few female leaders in the development of vehicle technology in automobile manufacturing in China.

Bai Hong's first self-developed project was Wuling No.1 Light, when she was pregnant, "Wuling No.1 Light and my own child landed at the same time, just like my two children, which is a very valuable experience for my whole life."

In study and work, when encountering difficulties, Bai Hong will "die". Formerly a body engineer in charge, she was twice sent to learn about vehicle technology development. In the face of unfamiliar knowledge areas, in the face of the dilemma of foreign teachers taking classes but not understanding foreign languages, she did not flinch, "desperate to learn", did not let go of a question, and mastered the knowledge of vehicle technology development, boldly applied what she learned, and thus became the leader of Wuling in this field.

For the development of cars, Bai Hong has reached the level of obsession. In order to solve the various details of the development of vehicle technology, no matter where she commutes to work, no matter where she is, she will involuntarily ponder in her mind, and as soon as the inspiration comes, she immediately runs to the computer, writes down her ideas, and immediately verifies them.

For his outstanding contributions to automobile research and development, Bai Hong has won awards such as "Liuzhou Science and Technology Progress First Prize" and "Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Second Prize", as well as honors such as "National Pacesetter of Meritorious Service" and "Guangxi Labor Model", and obtained 3 invention patents. Peng Wenxia, 40, is an engineer at Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. In 2006, Peng Wenxia entered Liuqi, and after several years of automotive assembly assembly, she was transferred to the Information Technology Department to engage in automotive size synchronization engineering and process development.

The exterior surface of the car, including the cab, is made up of a variety of metal and non-metal parts of different sizes and shapes, which leads to connection seams between different parts. If the joint seam is too large, it will affect both the beauty of the car and other performance of the car. Therefore, the car company must manage the uniformity and symmetry of these joints, that is, through the precision calculation of the geometric accuracy of the geometric elements of each part, to ensure that the joints are as uniform and symmetrical as possible without affecting the functions of each part.

Peng Wenxia said that when doing the car size synchronization project, they will first define the size between the seams of each interface according to the vehicle modeling drawing, combined with the benchmark car and other models in the past, and then calculate the allowable error of each connection seam according to the matching structure of the model, including clarifying the assembly order of each component. "The work of all aspects of mold, clamping, inspection and so on requires mutual cooperation." She said that after more than ten years of research and accumulation, their commercial vehicles, each connection joint was originally expected to have a maximum allowed error of 3 millimeters, and now they have controlled the error to 1.5 to 1 millimeter.

Peng Wenxia, who has been deeply engaged in research, constantly seeks innovation, and for the first time puts forward the three-dimensional concept of body fixture positioning strategy and product GD&T (geometric tolerance) drawings in the enterprise, and practices it from time to time, which increases the maintenance efficiency of the later stage by 50%; innovates the size chain calculation method and improves the rigor of the calculation results. In order to pass on the good experience, she has also organized the compilation of a number of business benchmark books for use in the enterprise.

Their job function is to inspect and judge products according to product standards, ordering contracts and quality system documents.

Of course, the protection of the lifeline product quality of the enterprise depends not only on their "fire eyes and golden eyes", but also on various advanced tools and scientific methods. In their work, they innovatively proposed the wave shape inspection method of "retraction inspection method" and "measurement unevenness inspection method", which improved the accuracy of the shape quality judgment rate of the steel coil.

They also established Liugang's first cold-rolled strip defect specimen library and compiled Liugang's first cold-rolled product defect map. Through the pictures, texts and samples, various types of cold-rolled strip defects and their characteristics, causes, and countermeasures for elimination are displayed, which provides an intuitive and clear reference for inspectors to understand and master the knowledge of strip quality defects and accurately judge the quality defects of strip.

Last year, they completed a total annual inspection volume of more than 1.27 million tons; nearly 120,000 steel coils were inspected and judged. Among them, the pass rate of one inspection is 98.32%, the quality loss of the product ton of steel is less than 0.053 yuan / ton, and the comprehensive customer satisfaction rate is 98.39%, all of which maintain the leading level of the national peers.
