There are many new characters in Horizon: A Desperate Situation in the West who have joined Elloy's journey, including Cho, Alva, and of course, old friends Aland and Val. However, despite the fact that each of them has its own highlights, the "one-armed warrior" Quetaro has impressed many players. Players may not notice that Quetaro actually has more than one connection to the wolf in Only Wolves: Shadow Dead Twice, which is quite a coincidence. Wolf and Quettaro's voice actors are both Noshir Dalal
Dalal has appeared in many games, so it's no surprise to see him in Only Wolves: Shadow Dead Twice and Horizon: Desperate in the West. He also played Charles Smith in Red Dead Redemption 2 and played minor roles in games such as Death Loop and Halo Infinity.
His resume is impressive, but Quetaro and Wolf Alone are two of his more important roles. The two characters are actually very similar, and although Quetaro has more character curves, stories, and dialogue than a wolf, they are both relatively silent people. They are all stoic, serious, and powerful warriors, and they all share the same commitment to loyalty, all willing to risk their lives to protect their important people. Therefore, when talking to Quettaro, a wolf is often associated.
Both Wolf and Quetaro lost an arm
Quetaro and the wolf each lost an arm in battle. Their stories begin with the same events, which in turn guide their stories forward. Ktaro, a warrior from the Tenak tribe, was devastated by the loss of his arm. The Tenak tribe valued strength the most, so they treated the disabled Quetaro as a weak person. Quettaro finally recovered from his trauma, learned to overcome his wounds, and was proud of himself.
The story of Quetaro as a one-armed man is outstanding, showcasing disabled characters that are not common in the game. At the beginning of Only Wolf: Shadow Death Twice, Only Wolf loses his arm in a battle with Ichiro Rei, but he doesn't seem to care much about it and uses prosthetics in the following game. It's also an interesting coincidence that the two most important characters voiced by Noshir Dalal have the same disabilities and end up being resolved in the same way.
Players who have not yet completed the side quest "Lost and Recovered" should play it carefully from start to finish to see where Quetaro has a similar destination to that of a wolf. He decided to make a prosthetic leg to fight, and Eloy helped him achieve this. Quetaro didn't always rely on it, he felt that it wasn't his real self, so he only used it in battle when necessary, while the wolf used it all the time.
Only Wolf: Shadow Gone Twice and Horizon: Desperate In the West are very different in many ways, but the connection between Wolf alone and Quetaro, voiced by Noshir Dalal, is also interesting. One-armed characters are not common in games, and it's a coincidence that both characters are voiced by the same actor, suffer the same injuries, and have developed prosthetics for combat.
